I've been working in editable poly now, since it goes better then editable mesh (for me). But when I want to export, I must convert it to editable mesh. Every time I convert my editable poly to mesh and then export it, tool gives me an error stating "mesh definition vertex invalid" with some more info. The first thing I checked was if there were errors in the map, so I do a STL check in max but this gives me no errors (I made max check all things not just open edges). Could this problem lie withing the ass exporter or is it a problem caused by me.

Has anyone else had this problem, is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

STL check sucks.

also, i don't know halo2's tool errors, so i can't help you on this.
i CAN tell you that this error doesn't have anything to do with the fact you're either using editable mesh or poly.
that's just some misunderstood terminology on your side.

thats strange. editable poly or mesh shouldn't matter as I'm use editable polys (quads or tris, since they get exported as tris anyways) and its been working fine.

Thats because its not caused by using editable poly... as tweek said already.

I did some more testing and it seems that the problem lies within my map.

But what could be causing this then? The STL check gives me no errors at all. Is there another way to check for errors?

STL check isn't a halo error checker. You might have 2 faces occupying the same space, or need to weld some verts, or you have a lone vert somewhere?
