Yep, it updated the Game's files, Halo2.exe, some .dlls and stuff. Also widescreen support is in the game now. Umm, I don't notice any other stuff for now.

It also seems like the server browser has been "fixed". It takes about 20x longer to load a list of only 80 servers, but at least clicking on one now doesn't make all the text on your screen disappear.

Yes, because the HG team is still a fully staffed game development team. Lets dial up all the factors: The game is in post-release status, HG was a specially built team of MS employees, not a pre-existing game developer. ALOT of those HG team members were contracted out and whos contracts are now over. Then account for MS moving the internal personal on to products needing to make dead lines so they TOO can be released, and now your down to a small core team. Yeah, I'm sure you can expect them to go and fix every single goddamn thing that you found wrong with the game and its assets, build a patch, get it APPROVED by MS, then hell who knows what else administration shit it must go through before the update is plopped on a server for you.

Its ONE patch. Where have they said "this is the last patch\update, have fun, see your fucking faces never, pwnd"? What makes you think this isn't a PARTIAL update? The contents of this patch were approved by MS, but other things had to go back to the developers to be redone then re-audited by MS for another patch.

Which do you want, ONE FUCKING GIANT PATCH that takes ages to be finished and approved, or smaller patches as things get approved? You fuckers can't be pleased can you? Get a job doing this shit, see how you feel.

You obviously don't understand the point of the departure, and how MS is still a KEY part in Halo's development a success. And have you not paid attention to bungie during H2V's development? Its "almost" like they WANTED everyone forget it existed or tell people off when they asked Bungie about its development. And no, not to get people "hyped" for Halo 3, MS already had that taken care of.
