Or more appropriately, Bedford Grove.
There are two reasons you have never heard of them:
-1. They are so bad the phrase 'YIFF IN HELL' does not even apply.
-2. They are indie.
I have here, living proof, that indie groups are not always the shit. This group is comprised of a trombonist who always has a rapeface, a trumpeter who is okay, a drummer who goes everywhere shirtless, a bassist whom you can't even hear and always looks high while he attempts to be a white Jimi Hendrix, a keyboardist who either has Tourette's (NOT random cussing, random twitching) or restless leg syndrome, and a girl who does not sound like a girl.
Good God, the music sounded like a madman was beating a dead cat with a chew toy wrapped around a sign that said 'I am a Prick.' The group never decides between classical, punk and reggae, and the result is an ear-raping so horrible that it can only be compared to their own voices. From videos, it appears that they got their start in an opium den, which may explain the Bassist, but doesn't explain the leg twitching and inconsistent methods of play.
In This Thread: be hatin' on horrible groups.

Them young'n's and their gosh-darn rap music. They don't even know what the jazz is all about!
Also: Duran Duran.

So Your Son's an Emo:
You've found out that you son is an emo! A way to fix this is as follows:
1. Get your son.
2. Beat his ass until cured.

Most modern pop, virtually all rap, the vast majority of techno and anything close to techno, and also emo, screamo, whatever other sub-sub-sub genres they've invented to house the same whiny shit.

It's stating the obvious, but:

Oh also that random screeching/growling/impossible-to-decypher lyrics some people think is metal, but is actually just shit.

No, neither are emo. The oldest just likes the really dischordant, draggy, angry/depressing alternative "rock". He says it's not depressing to him, but it sure sounds like it to me.

U mutha fucker :maddowns:
theres some chick singing at the moment who sounds something like a Drowned Cat Crossed with a Straggled Parrot.
she sings "u know i'm no good"
i cant stand it, the second i hear it, i become angry and turn off anything music related withing 20 M's.
How can that be considered Music ;__;
Also Tex about your son. Depending on someones musical taste depends on there reaction to Music.
Take me for example, the angrier and more aggressive the Music is the More relaxed i become, simply because i channel out that aggression through the Angry music. it's the opposite of Pop music, where if u listen to it (and your into pop) the happy lyrics make u happy.
There are some Terrible bands out there who call themselves metal, but to put it Bluntly, If the lyrics are un-recogniseable and are burried so deep within really rediculously low "LOL LOOK I SOUND LIKE A DEMON LOL!" and High pitched screaming then it isnt music.
Alot of metal for Example Slipknot (no M-Z noe) the Singing or Screaming ( to be more accuarate) simulates a Chord. Those singers dont Sing Notes, it's a chord and once you pick up on that and recognise it as an Accent (like English speaking Chinese people) for singing it becomes easy to pick up, and it becomes clear.
(sorry if it's a little hard to follow, i've had a bit to drink. but i'll do what i can to Fight the good fight: punctuation)

I heard that listening to country music is more likely to result in suicide than any other music style.

I really hate bands in which every one of their songs sounds exactly the same.
It's like they're not even trying.

Yes.
One of the reasons I still love QotSA even after some of my previously die-hard fan friends have lost interest is because you get so much fucking variation on one album that you never get tired of listening to it.

May be, but AKs are super-cheap in the US ($300 for a kit), so it could be either.
