Well the new 8800GT comes out next week on Tuesday. It outperforms the 8800GTS, uses less power, and will be 65nm instead of 90nm.
My source, with original source (http://www.overclock.net/hardware-news/250881-8800gt-benchmarks-done.html)
Some of the benchmarks

It looks really amazing. It is between x2900xt and 8800GTX in all the benchmarks, and beats the 8800GTS in all benchmarks. I know what my next upgrade will be. They come in 256mb and 512mb, the 256mb will sell for around $250. The next 8800GTX will be even more amazing I think, so far the a new 8800GTS is unconfirmed. Kicks the crap out of the 8600GT I have. It overclocks nice too. So anyone going to get it?
I have to get a job or something, I want this card bad.

Lulz, Enermy Territory.
Meh, I suppose it would be worthwhile, depending on when the 9 series is coming out. It'll be a while before I throw out my 7950 GX2 unfortunately.

Still, its cheaper to SLI 2 of these then get 1 8800GTX.
I don't give a crap about DX10 yet, Vista sucks in my opinion. But it performs great, even at the high resolutions for a mid-high end card.

I have two 8600's. I was going to get the 8800GTS but with the 9 series coming soon, the two were cheaper.

Were they GT's or GTS's? Because 1 of the new 8800GT would be teh smae proce with better performance, and its cheaper then the GTS. Mostly because of the decreased memory bits changed from 320 to 256. But the cards them self are better. I will get a high end card in the next few years, after I upgrade to quad core in a few years.

8800GTs *are* the G92's.
Still no word on where the GeForce 9's are or what GPU revision they'll be. But -- the G92's people were all looking forward to... <points> That's them.

I'll probably grab myself one of these for Crysex. :D.
I've been saving up for a new "good" GPU since I bought my 7600 GT for $150 D=.

I was under the impression that GTS>GT?

I was under the impression that GTS>GT?Yea but these GTs are what the 8900's should have been had they existed. In spite of originally being manufactured as GeForce 9 (hence the 92 monacre)

Umm, no offense, but isn't it a given that the GT would preform better than the GTS? I mean, nVidia's name convention has been GT>GS for as far back as I can remember. Did AMD never come out with the 2900 XTX? I didn't see it in any of the benches.

There is a 2900 XTX. It's only avalible for system vendors because the thing is 12 inches. It's equipped in the falcon northwest Mach V (it costs 7000 dollars). I read it about it in the PC gamer magazine.

You'd think hardware reviewers would have access to it though.

There are already benchmarks done by PC gamer. Let me just find the issue......
Edit: It's like 192.5 FPS for Doom 3, 111 FPS for FEAR, and 203 FPS for HL2: EP1. None of them are DX10 though. I'm guessing nobody has it cause nobody wants to spend 7000 dollars on a gaming rig.

I might either get the 512mb one, or 2x256mb in SLi.
These cards are awesome.

Yes. Also, 0x10DE, 0x0611, 4 // NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT from the Crysis demo video card rating list. 4 meaning it can run it on ultra high on any resolution near 1680x1050.

This Is New, (http://evga.com/splashpage.asp) EVGA now has SuperSuperClocked Graphics Cards. The 8800GT is also really cheap.

At least it's better than XFX's overclocked XXX series.
