It is, but Windows allocates at least the top 1GB for reserved addresses, so most 32-bit Windows systems are limited to around 3.2 GB, depending upon the hardware.

Is it the same in 64-Bit were it uses memory(ram?) and puts it towards your video memory? because I have and X1950 Pro 512Mb and it shows the total size of 1279Mb is this the same in 64-Bit?

32bit XP Home and Vista Business are what I have installed right now, but I have XP Pro 64bit and Server 2003 Enterprise 32bit as well.
I'm going to install XP Pro 64 sometime around Christmas because I have a program that is 64bit only.

No its not. It syas it is, but when I tried installing my 4 gigs, vista only recognized 3 gigs.

That is Windows... 2 to the power of 32 = 4294967296 = about 4 gigs. 2 to the power of 64 = 18446744073709551616 not even going to do the math.

64Bit is faster, but vista 64 has a few compatibility issues with some programs. It also can have more ram then 32bit. A lot more.

Edit: 64Bit can handle up to 16 exabytes.

I'm pretty sure that's your buffer. You have a 768MiB aperture size
