Ok... Moral of the following story is...F*** KNOWS!

So on one dark day in good old England, i was on MSN talking to my friend, and we get talking about some of the games coming out this year.

My 'Friend'

I say oh yea, Mass Effect comes out soon, and UT3 Next month.
And without thinking, he just replys back quickly saying, Both SHIT!
And continues to say, Of course you wouldn't mention, COD4, Assassins Creed or Army of two.
So i'm just like WTF, and say, Mass Effect looks awesome, and it will no doubt be one of the best games this year.

Halo 3 is great, but theres alot of other great games coming out soon.

Ok, yea there both great games, but you know, i don't particularly enjoy Modern or Past games, so thats why i don't buy them. I've played the COD4 beta and it feels like a glamorized COD3 to me...which i also hated.

He seems to not even see views of games properly. I personally don't like anything but Sci-fi games, but i will try any game.
He just sticks by his straight off observations or assumptions.

What do u guys think about this? I think one work could describe it... LAME!

Mass Effect looks amazing and I'll be picking it up the day it's released here, along with UT3 when that is.

But i will not be picking up COD4, AC or AOT. While they look good, they just don't appeal to me.

Also this guy usually likes sci-fi games, Loves Halo...etc. And his uncle played the R2D2 (the small man inside) in the SW movies (i didn't believe it either, but he has since then proved this to be correct...long story.)

Anywho... I'm not to fussed, friends come and go, but he was just out of order, didn't even look at it rationally. What do u lot think?

He gets angry over the simplest of things, knowing this i just blocked him, short term way to stop it. He doesn't like French people, and he then thinks all Canadians are French. And he thinks all Americans are Yankie Geeks.

I personally love everyone, and don't pre-judge. Unless its a bomb wielding terrorist (almost said iraqy :fail:).

He plays Halo 3 for about 8-10 hours a day...no joke. It's a good game but at the moment i oddly prepare Halo 2 over it...

You both are taking this WAY too seriously. Face it, they are all good games, and since they haven't even come out yet, it's pointless to be arguing about them and who would let a FAKE game ruin a REAL friendship. For example, I was a Sony fan boy , and my good friend was an xbox freak, and we'd argue for hours about which one, when it comes out, will be better. I ended up getting a 360 before him, lol, but some stupid games put us at odds for the longest time.

I think the character models in Mass Effect look pretty silly yet some what bland. Like oblivion. Thats the only bad thing I have to say about it.

I don't know whats the big deal about assassin's creed. It just looks like another over hyped ubisoft title to me. I don't see whats so special about it.

You jump off of buildings and stab people in fast-paced action. It's great for the time! You can usually only get that in futuristic and alternate reality games, and some modern day games.

I dunno, really, though.

I don't see whats so special about it.Kinda hard to make a model ultra-detailed and controlled... if its practically all procedural through their Gameface clone. The developers don't know what half of the players (the other half uses default :p) will look like. Not even what gender they will be...

It's amusing when the discussion of video games causes this sort of argument. I'm lucky 'cause most of my friends agree with my choice of video games (and the ones that don't; well, we do other things).

Canadians ftw. And to top it all, I used to live in the states (the bay area in California), and I had good reasons to move further north. I suggest you all do the same. Kidding.

This guy is an idiot...the nationality of a game-making company has no impact on the quality of games. Personally, I like Japanese games a little more than American ones...provided they are translated properly.

But why are we arguing about this? Just some chatter and his bullshit that's all. But I've got a good mind to drive down there (after I turn 16 that is) and show him a piece of my mind.

Actually, some Canadians are dumb fucks (our socialist politicians, mb?) but their game makers are not. Hell, I think the best games are made by international developers.
