I'd post the game viewer for this one, but it's really hard to appreciate the glory of what just happened by looking at an overhead map with arrows.

So: I was playing team slayer on ascension on xbox live, and I was on blue team, and we were down by a couple of points. I was retreating from the dish to the one level sniper tower, and the entire red team was shooting at me from the multi level tower. So I manage to get behind cover and I blindly chuck a sticky over the rock. My shields come back up so I step out to shoot and see where my nade went. I'm disappointed to see it went way too high and it hits the wall of the tower, and falls down to the top floor. But then this red guy jumps out of the tower in a panic, and I can hear him yell over his mic, because he's got my sticky stuck right to his face. He explodes just as he jumps, and it takes out him and two other red guys.

Sigh, it just doesn't seem as great in words. I guess you had to be there. Some would call it luck; I would call it AWESOME.

For efficiency's sake, I was limiting this part of the BSP to 60,000 polies and 30,000 vertices, although I wasn't counting or anything. But I was about to go to bed and I figured I'd export it as-is and whadayaknow, there it was.

The funniest thing yet not involving a (moving) vehicle on Yoyorast Island that I have seen is this: I was in the tower, and saw a hog coming around the first bend, so I ran down to the rocket overlook before they got there. No rockets. Not a problem, because he bails, intending to come up te infantry path. We shoot a bit, he with an AR and me with a shottie. I love my H1 shottie. I'm obviously winning, so he ducks for cover behind a vehicle that was already sitting there. MISTAKE!!!! . He is about to do... something. I tossed a grenade, but it ineptly bounced off of his apparently effective hog shield towards the glass over the beach, and I was out of explosives. I was just about to jump down and finish him off, when his defensive barrier disappeared and reappeared in the garage! I quickly finished off with my shottie sniping and strafing. Word to the Halo player: only hide behind a barrier that you are sure won't respawn during your stay behind it.

3. I got a completely awesome kill, but not really.

I was on foot running around the wide loop (just past the 3rd or 4th checkpoint, where it reaches out furthest from the island itself) since my Hog had been stolen when I heard one coming up behind me. I see Metroid run his over the edge just enough to get stuck, then he bailed out and flipped it before opening up on me with the pistol... I shot back and hit once or twice, but then his teammate (apparently from this forum, still not 100% sure who it was) comes roaring up behind him and cleans both Metroid and the Hog up. The lot of them go into the water, I'm the only survivor, and I got the credit for the kill :lmao:

Wish Halo could do demos, since I don't have the space or the performance to record constantly with Fraps :(

(I play on yoyo about every day) It's even funnier when the hog falls out of the air on top of you, your teammate, or your enemy, rather than just driving into your area. Happens quite a bit on that pass under the spawn areas, since many drivers attempt to make the shortcut.

Lol, I was the guy with the flag at the time, using my profile name "a pie". I saw the first rocket, thought, "Ha, he missed me!" then I got hit by the other rocket.
I have a story as well, also on Yoyo.
I had the flag, took the walking route, made it into the tunnel that leads to the tubes to score. I round the bend, and see a guy on the other team waiting for me. Without thinking, I dropped my flag, I had a sniper with one bullet left, and I crouched and fired. Apparently, he fired, too, and I was lucky I crouched as his bullet whizzed just over my head, while I got a headshot (And was officially out of ammo and grenades, meaning the only thing I could do was melee). I picked my flag back up, scored, and then went to the ATV tower and got some more ammo for my Sniper, while proceeding to camp the area.
My team ended up winning by 1 point. I had 219 kills, 75 deaths. Wish I had Xfire running so I could have taken a screenie.

I just got one of my oddest grenade double kills in snow grove ever. A warthog was driving up to run me over at my base for a flag run so I turned around and threw a nade right at it before I died but still had frag nades selected. So the nade bounced off his windshield and he stepped out to get to the gunner seat. His ally who was on a flag run and was being chased by my teammates jumped off our top level of our base to leap into the drivers seat and at that moment the grenade came to a stop, exploded and killed both the hog driver and the flag runner as soon as I spawned.

It was hilarious when everyone realized what had just happened since it took like 3 seconds.

Yeah, that's actually a pretty good score considering how I'm the "Bait" of most plans. I was the one who ran into a group of reds with a shotgun, flamethrower, or assault rifle, and basically distracted them all while my teammates captured the flag. Quick game, actually, I did a decent job for once. Got betrayed quite a few times by a face running into the group of reds I was in the middle of and killing everyone (Including me). He got himself autobanned in the end.
But yeah, I did pretty well. Wish I had captured the flag a few more times, the only person with more kills then me was always about 5 kills or so below me, until he started sniping near the end of the match, and we were all concentrating on drawing the reds away from the flag-carriers.

I don't know, maybe the guy who served as the distraction while I made a run for the flag. You did a much better job then me when I was toasting people with the flamer then using the shotgun to finish them off. I only got a few kills (Because I had the flag half the time), while you got a lot for deciding it would be fun to see how many people on the other team you could hit with the fuel rod in one life.

I remember there was a matrix modded bg where everything had code on it at one point, but I also recall trying to make another one where the entire map had scrolling code on it, I remember I made the hog have it, and one version is black/see through with nothing but code and another one had the code going over the original skin like this, I wonder if its mine haha. I remember someone else made a mod like it too though. That was a fun mod to try and make, someone shud try it in CE... idk its not that gr8 of an idea anymore lol.
