View Full Version : Halo 3 X-Button tools

I think I have the Radar Jammer down. All I have to do is spawn transparents bots that have no physical properties. I also have the partail shield pickup down. Just spawn a normal Halo 1 fixed sheild. I need help on the gravity pad, the bubble shield, the powerdrainer, and the trip mine though. Can anyone help me?

I've got little to no info on that, but try turning reflexive damage on for the jammer, it adds a little effect.

i dont understand what you did... so when yuo press Q or whatever it drops an equiptment?

For the radar jammer I don't believe it would work because the ai would have to be moving. Gravity lift you could just make a scenery spawn projectiles but it wouldn't sync online, bubble shield theres different ways like a .weapon but then it would fly from explosions and spin, a power drainer would just be a .weapon that spawns a damage effect and trip mine could be a scenery that shoots projectiles up in the air and when hit, it detonates and the collision model is set to 1 health so when shot or if the explosion hits it it would explode.

if AI are moving, online, it doesn't matter if it syncs or not, you just need the fuck up the motion tracker.

Radar jammer could be done easily. Make sure the ai have fireing possisions. It doesnt matter if it syncs online, since there invisible.

For bubble shield just make it spawn a light fixture.
Trip mine wouldn't work, I know someone who made a portable gravity lift like that and everytime there was one spawned on the map clients can't spawn.



And how would you do radar jammer since you cant spawn actor varients with effects, just bipeds, and there braindead.

My guess would be to spawn invisible bipeds that have a damage effect attached to them to do a instant kill and then dead spawns actors.

The whole thing could be done easily, i just need to work out how to get it so when you drop the jammer the ai are spawned.

EDIT: you could have it so when you fire it , it drops a projectile, which is its model, but then theres an invisible effect that is a gigantic explosion that only effects 1 material. so have a biped with that material, and have a script so when it dies spawn the ai, sleep for like.. 700 and then delete the encounter and create a new biped, so the process could be repeated.

Like you did with your timed mines malolo, fun times fun times..

Due to the technical problems with creating these x-button tools, I will put a little more experience under my belt then I will try these again.
