It is pretty good, i like the fact that you are plane modeling it, this makes you able to add more detail than box modeling.
As rossmum said, you need to make the rocks and ground look natural, give them some broken off bits and make them less smooth.
And just a tip before you design your next map, make sure you draw it with pencil and add a load of detail as i think you might be able to make a good map if you do that.

That doesnt rly matter if you paint it on paper or not..And there is no stones..and i made it a little more curvy and natural..Althougt its not much i can do for that..Otherwise i will have to remake it wich i dont want to for the moment.

I was thinking of drawing because painting is un-accurate and messy beause of using a mouse. If you draw you can add smaller detail.

But you can add detail while modeling..I just made a basic one..

you're not really one to be giving tips, since you don't know what you're doing yourself.

I really like the water layout concept :awesome:

I see what looks like a generic enough layout. Nothing really special. :\
If I had to crit I guess I would ask why the water disappears quite suddenly into the wall

Make the contours more natural, right now it just looks like someone took a flat piece of ground and randomly stuck a few lumps on it.
This man knows what hes talking about... actually I'm going to +rep you for it XD (if that even means anything lol)
But yeah, it has to many rough edges. I would also put into question some of your methods, but I guess its just personal preference really, yea n/m...
I think my main problem with it is, the cliffs seem a little to boring right now and they don't transition smoothly enough into the ground.
I'd say its a decent start though, its not a very messy model, but it could use some cleaning. The layout is a bit boring too I have to admit...
because painting is un-accurate and messy beause of using a mouse.
Speak for your self then, I've made quite a few drawings in photo shop using just a mouse, although I wouldn't mind owning a tablet pc, those things are amazing for digital drawings.

In the terrain? because theres nothing wrong with a little valhalla in your structures (http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/nate-the-great_photos/toneddowngreen.jpg), is there? Anyway, the cliffs need more natural and varying shapes, the hills should be more profound, and the bases don't feel very forerunner to me.
E: Making sure all your angles are either 45 or 60 degrees is a good start towards fixing the feel of the base.

I don't think you need to ditch it. remaking some of the ground may be a good idea since simply moving stuff around might defeat the purpose of plane editing. I really wish there was a better way to model. simply using vertices and planes is so tedious. Sometimes I feel like I'd love to get in my map with a bulldozer or lightning bolts and torrents of water. HERE COMETH ZEUS!!! or maybe that's just me...
for what it's worth...

Needs more detail, but other than that, I like what you have so far, keep at it.

Looks like crap. Kind of unnecessary process to making it too.
