Now, I set a few things up in BF2 after I got my new 8800GT, and now the screen gets all jittery. It just shakes up and down a bit while it's running, and it's starting to annoy me :raise:

So, is there anything I can do to fix it?

Which card could help.

Try the latest drivers... try changing resolution... sometimes its just because the videocard drivers glitch at certain resolutions.

Heck I had some old D3D7 games move the game partially off the side of the screen depending on refresh rate and resolution (back when you could adjust refresh rate in games... inside their video options panel at least...)

Good point. It's an 8800GT. I've got the latest drivers, but it only happens in Battlefield 2. I've tried switching resolutions around, as well as refresh rates, but that doesn't help at all.

There are 163.75's for the latest, and 169.12's for the latest BETA drivers. Which is it? Try both? (Note: The "Official" driver, 163.75, does NOT support the 8800GT... that's only the 169-series Beta drivers)

Wait, what? I got the "official" 163.75 drivers FOR the 8800GT, and you're telling me it's not compatible?
Okay, then nvidia fails. Direct me to those beta drivers.

EDIT: Found 169.09 drivers from EVGA. I'll try those.

EDIT EDIT: I'm waiting for the new drivers to download, and I decided to open BF2 to play a game or two. Now BF2 won't even open. wtf?

That makes sense. Whenever I install a copy of the drivers, it says, "These drivers have not passed the Windows Compatibility Test" or something like that.

EDIT: Further googling suggests it could be the DVI>VGA adapter, though I suspect that would cause jitters even when not in game.

Make sure you go directly to the site "Nvidia" and get them. I used the windows update and that screwed over Gears Of War and Halo 2 more than before. I updated with the Nvidia one and its been running perfect!

Those are exactly the drivers that supposedly don't work.
