View Full Version : PC Specs Feature Now Available

You may have noticed a little icon of a PC in the postbit bar next to the reputation icon. After the update to the site's templates, this feature no longer worked. Now you can click the icon and it will display the user's PC specs, if they have added them to their profile (test this on my post right now!).
You will also notice that if you a click a user's profile page (http://www.h2vista.net/forums/member.php?u=1), these specs will appear in the bottom right area.
If you would like to add or modify your PC specs in your profile, go to your User CP. In navigation pane on the left side of the page, under "Edit Profile" there is a link called "Edit Computer Specs". You can also access this by clicking here (http://www.h2vista.net/forums/profile.php?do=extra).
Sorry for taking so long to get this up and running, but enjoy!

Damn Ghost, nice computer! Heh, almost every one of your components is the slightly higher end version of the one I have.
Thanks for getting this feature working again.

Thanks, but it was even better about a year ago, haha. I'm planning on building a new one this summer.

Shouldn't you add support for more than one monitor field? I'm sure there are a few people here that have at LEAST two monitors...

My friend's got a 6.4 GhZ.

I'll think about it. It's one of those things that I have to ask "where does it end." I have more than 4 hard drives in my computer, for example, but I'm not going to put more fields for HDDs. I'll consider adding another one for dual monitors.

What kind of person needs that kind of processing power.

December 8th, 2007, 06:41 PM
Speed =/= power. At that speed it's probably spending most of its time waiting for things to come back from memory. Still, I'm curious, a 6.4 ghz what?
Hm, do you think there should be a processor cooling field as well? For those of us (not me) who want to show off water cooling?

You could probably just say like "Intel Q6600 2.4 GHz \ ZALMAN Reserator XT water cooling" or something like that.

The arcade still exists (http://www.h2vista.net/forums/arcade.php), it just wasn't used very much so we took away the link.

You know, I'm kind of unhappy that this feature is fixed. Mainly because my computer sucks really badly. Thankfully I'm upgrading soon, probably during the Christmas break.

Well you don't HAVE to upload your specs, they're there to show off...but they can be helpful when figuring out some problems with your computer (or games/programs).

Ok well maybe not my left testicle, but I'm sure I would do something special.:hist101:
