My whole system just went down the drain. I try starting up a game, i get a error, then a blue screen and then my whole computer restarts. I didn't have the Windows XP Media center disk, so i had to use a windows XP Home edition disk. And wow...it makes me cry.
But my question is that i do have the the reg. code that came with the laptop is there some way i can get a disk for cheaper than having to spend 100+$ plus to get a new disk?
The whole picture seems really messed up, it lags when i scroll, is this common for XP Home Edition? Or should i try updating my graphic card?
Not to good when it comes to figuring out computers..
Thanks,

You could download XP then use your reg code so its not illegal, and the scrolling problem is that you need the video card drivers.

Alright, i got the drivers all set up as far as video goes. However my sound driver is non existent. I know i have a Conexant audio driver, but i don't see it on the device manger. Also, no sound is coming threw the speakers, only the loud beep noise when something pops up. Also, if i click out of a box that is not meant to be, it makes that sound.
Pissing me off to no end.

get drivers from your computer manufacturer, they will always have them.

-F.SMake sure the sound output is set to the right device in your audio control panel.

Well I figured out the sound issue, just had to get drivers, once again. But because the OS (Windows Home Edition) has been used to much (yeah..right..) I can't re-activate it. So I had to spend 114$ on buying a new one, Windows XP Media Center Edition. Which is the OS that came with the laptop.
So it was all just a big waste of time D: But I saved the links to all the drivers that I might need when I install Windows, again.

Thanks for the help though :)
