I dont have a 360, but I do have a gold account for the GFWL games I picked up. I wonder if I'll be able to get this whenever I pick up a 360.

So they JUMP on this, but they took forever to sort out the RRoD issues... :fail:.

Yeah, cause you know it's a whole lot easier to pull atoms out of thin air in the form of a brand new 360 than to make a change in a database.

@ Ghost: Just to be safe, log into the other account on a different IP :P to ensure you can get 2 games.
I highly recommend that you XBL subscribers grab one of the Originals that you haven't already played - they might be more fun than most of the Arcade games (not that the Arcade games aren't fun, but they are better suited to PCs and handheld devices rather than on a 360).
Unfortunately, I don't have XBL Gold at all. Will I be able to access the Marketplace from a Silver subscription? If so, I'm setting up a wireless connection tonight.

I think they are just beginning to feel the guilt for ripping off customers with monthly fees for XBL. For as much as it costs per month for an XBL Gold account, I purchased some server space, along with my own domain name, with 6TB of bandwidth per month, and 8GB of storage for hosting dedicated servers, and my own website.

LOL no. It's less than five dollars a month and the service has been sketchy for just a few weeks. What they're doing is trying to keep their customers happy for their continued patronage. It's a pretty standard thing in the hospitality industry.

I wish I had a 360, but all I have is the gimped Xbox, and my Ex-box :(

Lemme guess...Arcade system?Yessum. All other system were sold out in the immediate area. However, the system/tray recently scratched my two games with a neat circle in the middle, so it's possible I can get an upgrade from Microsoft if I can push it enough. (or at least game replacements, I dunno how it works)

How is this supposed to work? I tried to just go to the game and download it, but it said I do not have enough Microsoft points.

Didn't the article say that Microsoft would provide details soon? It's not known the the wide, wide-spread public of Xbox Live yet, so it'll probably be a little time.

The article linked to in the first post is very misleading. If you take a look HERE (http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/support/live/serviceissue.htm) you will see that Microsoft is giving out a free Xbox Live ARCADE game, not an Xbox Original. What I want to know, Mr. Buckshot, is wth you're talking about. You've must of gotten points somehow.

Anyways, Buckshot may have used some of his MS Points to get the game and wasn't aware of it? I dunno.
Also, is Xbox Live being shitty again? I can't access really anything besides my friend's list.

LOL yes I got an MS points card with my purchase of Mass Effect (some boxing day deal...)
That's how I got Crimson Skies. I just checked. You see, I applied the points when I set up my Silver account, and then I went to download, not realizing that it was deducting from my MS Points.
I was wrong. Turns out I still have a free game...

Meh, I was going to get fable but you can't get an xbox original.
So instead I will probably get Wik and the fable of souls because my friends neighbor did the physics programming on it. He is also the one that lets us borrow his controllers for when we have more people than controllers. :v

Free games from microsoft? What's the catch?
Last time Microsoft gave out something for free, it was Windows Vista Ultimate, and you needed to install a program that monitored your every move for three months (http://wfp.microsoft.com/)...

You're still getting something for free that's worth 400 dollars. Besides, what would you be hiding? ;)
