Had a feeling this thread was going to be about it before I opened it.:woop:
Also supposedly leaked footage,

Seems legit because of the increased framerate, "saving to console" at the end, and the slightly updated textures and models (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/DylanYoshi/Goldeneye360IsntaLie.png).
I hooked up my N64 just to play it today :).

Bioshock Special Edition?

Well I have already played Goldeneye many times using my X360 controller.
I used the Project 64 emulator and my wired controller to play the N64 rom. Of course, with the default scheme, the right thumbstick strafes and looks up/down and the left thumbstick turns and moves forward/back, so I had to change the controller emulation.
I'll sign the petition, but I think Goldeneye belongs more on the Wii Virtual Console than on XBLA.

You could just play it on the emulator for PC... If you want multiplayer, gather some friends together and play it on netplay with pj64K.
I agree that n64 games belong on the wii however. Seeing N64 games on xbla would be like seeing PS1 games on virtual console on the wii, or xbox original games on the ps3 network.

Dumb. Can't they just leave a great game alone, and leave it to Nintendo. : ( Possibly one of the best games for the N64 (aside from Zelda :D). I refuse to sign >: U Now it just needs to hurry up and get on the Wii.

Are you a Nintendo Puritan or something?
Nintendo lacks the ability to form a usable online gaming service, and WiiWare is a complete joke (also vaporware). The possibility of a updated N64 game published by Rare on the Wii is a dream that isn't ever going to come true unless Nintendo decides they want to stop being a little bitch and actually make a reasonable deal. I'm not purchasing a game I already own by the way.
Xbox Live has online abilities and a control scheme that is actually suited for a shooter game (Don't talk to me about Metroid Prime 3, that seriously isn't going to work in a room with three other people on the same screen). Goldeneye was all about the killer multiplayer, without that essential piece the game is almost worthless.
Everyone involved should just take their hands out of their pockets for a moment, split it nice and equal, and just publish the damn thing. It would sell lots and everyone would be richer and happy again. Someone is going to kill me for this but, 3D Zelda's are over rated.

When old console titles are re-released online, they are almost never updated to "preserve" that classic feel. Same for both XBLA and Wii Virtual Console. Don't bitch about how the re-releases lack new features - they're not meant for that. Getting Goldeneye online would require writing networking code from scratch, and if you have the time to do that you might as well port the whole game to a modern engine. Similarly, those Xbox Originals on XBLA will have zero new features added because no one wants to waste time editing the code of old games.

No. Microsoft owns Rare now. Go pay attention in school and take a business course while you're at it.

Apparently more than you have. Cheating is rampant and friend codes are a royal pain in the ass. Nintendo has no control over their system. Ever tried Phantom Hourglass online? You either get someone who disconnects, someone who is invincible, or someone who has speed modifiers. Mario Kart isn't much better. It takes way too long to find a full party. Accessing the Wii Shop Channel is also slower than piss.
Sorry, Nintendo Wifi Connection is nothing special. Xbox Live trumps it in every way.:v

Right, remakes never preserve the original feel. Are you suggesting you want to pay for something you already own?
I'd rather have an updated game with new features than pay for a game I already bought 10 years ago. Many of the coin-op ports on XBLA have added features and updated components. This is not any different. What the hell is wrong with updating the graphics and adding Online Play? The closest your going to get control-wise, is with a 360 gamepad. The point of this re-release is to add features and value.
Getting Goldeneye online would require writing networking code from scratch, and if you have the time to do that you might as well port the whole game to a modern engine.
Nobody is interested in making a full-fledged remake. The point is to give it a refresh, not to make a whole new game.

19380 people support Rare in wasting their time.:awesome:

Durrr, more than just Microsoft and Rare involved.
Nintendo published.
Rare Developed.
Activision now owns Bond game rights.
MGM has Bond licensing rights.
Everybody has to agree before the game can be released. It's more complicated than you think.

Because sticking a Wi-Fi device into a handheld and being unable to monitor what the users do to the games in it is totally a player service.
