Hey its been a while since I posted here, but I recently started a Halo 2 Online CO-OP map, and I wanted to create the first custom Cutscene in halo 2 xbox. The problem is there is nothing on the subject for h2x or h2v, my whole Idea i shave a pelican carry a hog and have it drop it at a certain place.

I'm interested in knowing how
the path is defined ( I could do it by solemnly scripts but is insanely hard (like more forward for X seconds)(don't remember the exact CS command ATM)
How to make it hold a warthog, and how to detach it
If there is any more usefull documentation on Cutscenes and moving AI vehicles for halo ce so I can use it in H2X.

Thanks, Leo

I don't like it when people think they know shit and bash other peoples thread without knowing anything, Halo 2 CAN have AI over the internet sync and this is directly halo CE related.

Neither do I. So why don't you think twice before posting this:

this is directly halo CE related.

No it's not. The games have different ways of doing what they do, despite the tools being similar. There's no documentation on this subject for a reason: it hasn't been done. If you want to be the first, more power to you. But you'll be flying solo.

If this was in the proper section, and the site supported halo 2 modding, then we would help you, but the site does not support it(well does not perfer it), and its in the wrong section

Check TheGhost's Tutorials. But I'll tell you now, it won't be the same cake walk compared to the effort you'll have to put into making a Halo 2 cutscene.

The tutorials that polar bear made that were on some wiki aren't there anymore, and some one lock this... I see no one is willing to help...

...because it can't be done. End of story. You think that after FIVE YEARS of hard modding, that at least ONE CUTSCENE would have been done? if AI worked over the internet, don't you think you would have seen at least TEN DIFFERENT AI MAPS? A MONTH?

lock it yourself. go to thread tools at the top and click perform action.

AI is syncable.

And Wol it was just recently brought into the light and everyone feels stupid for not finding it as its super simple.

EP quit trying to be hard/tough on the kid, neither is working for you.

The whole reason cutscenes aren't possible is because h2sapien doesn't have the [obvious] ability to compile scripts into the scenario. Cutscenes require scripts.

If you've somehow managed to get scripts to compile into your scenario, then really, look at H1's decompiled scripts.

h2x has a user made script compiler (which helped infect people's minds with THE FUCKING UNNEEDED FIRST BEGIN STATEMENT)

Just to clear this up. AI in Halo1 and Halo2 xbox do infact sync. It's been done and proven. So let's move on from that subject.

If I recall correctly, AI in H1X only APPEAR to sync, and that's because players in multiplayer games all start at the same time, and people can't join a game as they please.

I'm sure if a game went on for a while, linked boxes would start to lose "sync" with each other.

this is correct. H1 ai does NOT sync.
