:rolleyes: Well just like Most things i do, i got another Problem...

i have recently found out how to RIGG model *YAY* and when i make the .gbx model everything wrks fine, and all is well.. Until!

i see it in-game, it look pretty horrible, so i alredy asked HDoan for help with this, and he said to link the geometry to the Pelvis bone, but it didn't seem to do much Help(actually no help at all.) so my question to you is: why is it like this:?

learn to make shaders, then learn to rig, then learn to use the letter 's' to make a word plural.

Just kidding, open your max file and go to the skin modifier. Make sure the "Envelopes" and "Cross Sections" checkboxes are unchecked. Now check the "Vertex" checkbox. Then go through and properly weight each vertex to the correct bone. Also, don't forget to go to the Advanced Parameters portion of the skin modifier and make the bone affect limit 2. This is because halo ce only supports two bones per vertex.

Those shaders make me cry inside. Yeah, you need a clean biped and clean rig, that just looks like you didn't rig the verts properly or they're not being exported properly.
A. Make sure it's an editable mesh, not editable poly
B. Try multiple methods of exporting, both bluestreak and the old vert injector (search halomaps)
C. Make sure your rig actually looks half decent in 3ds.
D. Please make the evil shaders go away.

Well i did the unckecking the Boxs.. and it kinda fixed the Shoulders a bit...:D

but the Head, ad croch are messed up!

heres what it looks like B4 i Export...:)

P.S. it looks like is 2 Verts per bone, idk though, some help plz...

EDIT: i hate the Shaders to, theyre Temporary..

You can see how mc's lower half of the helmet isn't red, that means those verts aren't weighted to the head bone. Honestly watch a rigging tutorial, you said you learned how, but this just looks like you added the skin modifier and exported...

My guess is that you didnt do any manual work and instead just added the bones with default envelopes and exported. WRONG.

do it MANUALLY and then try again. Also, is that a ripped halo 3 biped? laaame...

yeah, but i didn't rip it from H3, idk how.. sorry bungie, but goood job on the model lol.

The fact that you didn't do the ripping does not mean that it wasn't ripped.

i know it was riped, but i also i know i'm not the one who riped it.... Yes, i realise it was riped from H3.

What? Is this topic about whether or not the model is ripped? Lots of people rip, even z-team, and yet they don't get as much flak for it as paintballa is. . .


It looks to me like you just need to think about which vert's should be controlled by which bones.

lol, i agree with Chicane, it did kinda become a thread about Riping stuff, aw-well, but yeah, i think That Tutorial Helped me a bit, so hopfully i'm well on my way to Rigging things. Or i can totally FAIL and lose and go home... lol i'm hopeing for the first Option...

ok, i know this is a double Post, but i don't think anyone will care, cuz i think this Thread is just about Over, but Thanks you guys, i finally get how to rig, thanks "Chocking Victim" and everyone sle, i just cant remeber.;)lol.

here ya go, this is just super quick fix, i'm gonna spend my time on it probably tomorow, :eek:

yes Snaf i know i missed a Vert, but like i said, it took me like 2 mins to Rigg this model, so thx you guys.:D
