I was kind of hoping that somebody here might know how to record games so that you can then view them again in full 3d later like in this vid.

Enter it in console. Source has a demo recorder built in.

Console, type record "NAME".

It's not as user-friendly as Halo 3, but it does the job. They're called demos. You can also get source games to actually record them at a fixed FPS, no fraps needed.
