Okay well I've looked and looked and I can't find any Geforce 8800GT drivers other than the latest. From what I understand version 162.22 of the drivers ran Halo great, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm getting shit framerate on an old game with a graphics card that can run Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War seamlessly.
Help. Plz.
'fo I smack ya. ;o
EDIT: Also, I'm on Vista 32.

With this (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html) version of the Nvidia Forceware driver I have no problems running HCE. There is however a newer version of the driver (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_174.16.html) with support for the Geforce 9600 GT, so that may work better.

Also I'm on vista 32. Those don't seem to be vista drivers.

I feel ya' man. On my old computer that had Vista Home Premium, there were only drivers for XP but not for vista.

Yeah so I'm sure you know that it's sad when Halo 2 Vista runs better with 60 fps than Yoyorast at 20 fps. ;o

Buttery. Fucking. Smooth.
THANKS :haw:
EDIT: Bah that only lasted for about five minutes. Still getting frame lag.
Only one of those two worked, the earlier one I believe. The other one said I didn't have the specified hardware. >:|

Just gave me a black screen when I tried to start it up. I could hear, but I couldn't see anything.
I'm still with 09.

My 8800GTX loves shitting on me in outdoor areas.Whoel screen tears and gives me weird artifacts. Indoors though it's perfect.

Same here Masterz, how sad it is that our cards that are capable of running Halo at 1k+ frame rates are being raped by shitty drivers (At one point, when I first got my 8800 GTX, I had no issues with tearing and got anywhere between 900-1000 FPS on Halo).

It kills all tearing dead. Period.

How much have you overclocked it? It shouldn't give artifacts unless overclocked to ridiculous speeds.

Halo was badly ported. In my opinion. No offense to GBX, ofcourse.

Halo has some strange way of rendering that makes third party wireframe applications, anti-aliasing, and 1080i support screw up, for some reason. :/
