I'm posting this because I want the community's opinion on this single player map:

I need to know: Should I revive the project on this map, or scrap it altogether? Thoughts, opinions, whatever... I just want to know, 'cause I'm seriously considering moving to H2V very very quickly.

The encounters are really, really simple. The map layout is kinda cool, at about the 1:30 mark I like the intertwining areas etc. But it's basically go into a room, some guys, shoot them, over and over again. I wouldn't say completely scrap it though. Try redoing the encounters, think of a unique situation you want to put the player in.

The only thing I saw that had potential was the boss fight. Would be cool to see you coming up from the center of the platform in the middle and being surrounded by a shitload of covies, and 1 big badass guy charging at you. Would be a fun fight :P

Polish it up some more, and make some interesting encounters that require CQB expertise, not just skill with a rifle.

I think the problem is...I make it look too easy. :p
But I understand, it's pretty linear. The terrain is absolutely awful, except for the starting cutscene, 'cause I only had 10000 polys to work with for the whole map. I'll probably just release it as-is.

I like the whole concept, but the execution is sort of poor, its good for a sp map compared to me tho i never tried making one, always wanted to but haven't yet, might (emphasis on the might my lifes sort of busy) if I'm bored over the summer and I finish my current "experimentation" project I'm working on, I may have a go at an idea for a single player map idea I've had in my head for a while...
Your map somehow reminds me of the pre-released images shown of halo. (open areas with hills and such) its a neat idea I think but the encounters look very simple, also the modeling isn't amazing. Keep working on it I'd say, or just release if you want to.
EDIT: yeah... none of the enemies you encountered seemed to move much at all or anything, they sort of just stood there shooting at you in one spot, while u killed them.

I thought AI usually jumped about and stuff, those AI did not take cover or anything.
