Maybe put the Orange Box/ Half Life 2 under Source instead of their own sections. I dunno, they ARE source... It feels odd to have them seperated.
NOTE: I'm not talking about merging, just moving.

Yeah, I thought that was strange too.
IMO, there should only be the following boards (in regards to source):
Counter-Strike (CSS, 1.6 etc)
TF2 (with release and general as sub-boards)
Portal (with release and general as sub-boards)
HL2 & episodes (with specific, HL2, ep1, ep2 and release sub-boards)
Gmod (with release and general as sub-boards)
Source Mods (with general discussion & help/how-to as sub-boards)All under the one block to reduce clutter on the main page.

Several layouts of forums were considered prior to launch. We landed on this layout and, as of now, it will not be changed. It was designed to give everyone an at-a-glance view of everything that was going on in all of the forums without having to dig down. If there's a new post in a forum you frequent, you can find it easily without clicking through two or more pages to view it. If you are concerned about the population of the main forum index, then collapse the forms or use the subdomain-specific sections.
