View Full Version : automatic firing animation problem

In game I keep getting this irritating issue with my fully automatic guns. It doesn't happen to every gun, just a few. The thing is I can't tell whats causing it or what I do different from time to time that makes it not work. Have any animators here had this problem? (the model of the gun is Kenney001's ma5k)

This is the gun not firing, just sitting at idle

And this is it while firing. As you can see the thumb has detached its self from the gun. How would I fix this?

That's how Halo interpolates overlay animations. There really isn't much you can do except experiment with the overlay animation until it looks more or less correct.

Oh thats a bummer. I notice this problem a lot less in zteam maps, so how do you decrease the issue?

I avoid this problem by not using any rotation on nodes in the overlay animation (except on the looking frames, in which I rotate the frame bone24, which will not cause problems).

Oh that might help me, I rotated frame gun a bit. Thanks man
