I am looking to use my Logitech sound system (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121006) for my TV. However because of the controller being wired I can't put the sub where I want it, without the speaker wires going up in the air. So my question is there a way I can buy something so I can extend the cable length. Like a adapter, then buy some more cable.
Also could there be a way that I can play music off my computer using the logitech speakers but not having to unplug it from my tv?

Thanks

just go to any electronics store, you'll find plenty of cable extensions with just about every adapter you can find.

I agree. Get the more expensive one...this system has less power than an average American light bulb. :haw:

I agree with both statements, if I had the cash I would be going for a proper sound system. However I have had this system for about a year now its done its job, give me the sound. If I had a job, didn't have to save up for a car, and so on and so forth of excuses. Down the road I will get a good, proper, awesome system. Perhaps when i get my own place.
I forgot to mention that I already have the system. Got it for like 50$ at some wholesale store.

Will be checking around local stores for the cables.
In the mean time, suggestions on sound systems?

Yes i have had my eye on that for a while now, will most likely be a future buy.

X-530 > X-540.

The Z-5500 is obviously the best, but for us cheap people, the X-530 is more than adequate. All you need is a good sound card. I have one, and I love it. The only reason I want to get rid of it is because it isn't silver.

You could always try out the Z-5300e as a stopgap solution between the X-500 and Z-5500 series. It's right in between as far as price is concerned. Logitech pretty much has the market cornered on good 5.1 systems at the moment unless you can find one of those Klipsch 5.1 systems, but those are not much better, if at all.

I also suspect you are unwilling to drop the dough on a BOSE doodad, yes?

Its a shame most of the stores jacked up prices, at least where i lived. This adapter cost 15 bucks in the store, found it on monoprice for about 2 bucks :/

every where does that dude.

most electric stores will come down in Price if you bargain with them.
Take my stereo for example, it was selling for 400 bucks.
i just asked them "so what kind of deal could you do for me for this?"

knocked off $80 off the price just like that.

Exactly why I don't bother going to them, they are the same way over here. Whenever I ask for help is when I get ripped off someway or another. Mainly why I do my shopping online, specially when it comes to these kinds of things. Not that I am a tight wad or anything, just burns countless holes in my pocket.
None the less I will be hitting up some stores tomorrow.
