FIRST Competition?

Anyone part of FIRST and part of a Robo team? There are quite a few around the globe, and the finals are in Atlanta in a few days.

Heh, my school's team is going to Atlanta (Team 4 Element - HTHLA) to compete.

I was in robotics in 9th grade but I left and joined an art program in 10th because my parents were freaking out about the amount of time I spent there. I'm seriously considering rejoining in 12th grade as either a programmer, CAD, media or electronics guy (I learned a lot in 9th grade, lol). This year we didn't have a problem with electronics or programming, but instead had trouble getting all our stuff built - this is a complete 360 from past years. Our team's biggest problem is that right now our principal doesn't want outside mentors coming in and because of this we don't have any mentors whatsoever. Not good D=.
