Fixes which tear the stitching out of patches cover holes, weld steel plates to plug those holes and fill in bumps, and polish it to a smooth surface. Service packs will always make the OS a bit faster by optimizing the code.

It does seem a little bit faster, but I don't notice that much of a difference because I have a crap-tacular amount of ram.

For me it has a slower startup. But once it gets going it seems to open stuff faster.

it really slowed down my computer ALOT! everything goes slower and it takes literally 10mins to get started and ready to use.. i strongly advise you not to get it....

Anyways, i'm definitely gonna download this--ive got an old lappy running xp which could definitely use this.

I just installed. I haven't noticed too much of a difference besides a little bit of a speed up in iTunes, which used to take an eternity to load. It's much quicker now and I haven't had any compatibility issues with anything yet, so all is good for now :D.

I've been running it for two days now, it works like a charm. Especially, load time on bootup.
