    Noob question.

    I can make any outdoor map dark and even most indoor maps but how teh heck do you make the Pillar of auttum levels dark!!! its sooo confusing i do lightmaps and even change the sky with no effect

    The lights you place have shaders referenced - open up the shaders and fiddle with the light output settings.

    light.bitmap and btw its a BSP in the maw one of the inner POA looking ones

    Find where light.bitmap is, go up one directory level and then find the shaders folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags\levels\a10\shaders). In there you should find light.<shader name> open that up and have a tutu around. Although you'll have to re-do radiosity everytime you change the tags to see the difference.
