H2V asking for update...but it fails

Me and a friend were gunna play and it asked us for an update, after it starts it just gives us both an error... is anyone else having this prob?

This is getting frustrating, I reinstalled my live redist but I just cant get the update to work, any help?

Download and install the patch manually from here:

If I'm assuming correctly, and you're running on DSL, you're going to have problems playing online as well. If you do, check out this thread:
