    Exclamation "Can't update" Error! Help?

Every time I go it connect to GFWL I enter my live account email and password. It says downloading profile and shows a progress bar for about 5-7 seconds but it never moves at all. Then it says I have to install an update or I will be signed out of Live, so I say ok and it says please wait while the update is installed, don't exit Halo 2 or the Live guide and it has another progress bar. I wait for about 5 seconds and again the progress bar does nothing and then it says "cannot connect to live, visit www.xbox.com/suppourt if the problem persists". I went through all of the troubleshooting tips in GFWL Suppourt and even installing the update myself and the same thing still happens. Does anyone else have this problem and resolved it? And does GFWL not work at all on dial up? I just want to be able to play with some friends and get the SP acheivments.

Lol, you won't be playing very well online with dial-up.

Try manually downloading it again. Both updates.

Edit: Also if this is happening on XP you can't go online on XP.

If you have dial-up, why are you even playing online multiplayer on modern PC games? Even if you have superb specs, your online performance will be horrendous with such a connection (I tried it before for the heck of it, and the latency was comical, even in older games like CSv1.6)

I think GFWL needs a decent connection since there is a lot of data being transmitted across. You might want to persuade your parents to subscribe to a real internet service (in Canada I use Telus), then come back later.
