My Thoughts on Crysis

Ok, after playing about 5 hours into the game I have some decent crit.

First of all. Game play... The guns feel weak and inaccurate almost like watered down versions of CoD4 guns. Its IMPOSSIBLE to use that tactical scope cause you can't hold your breath to aim. And since the game is about stealth I find it funny that there is no good ranged weapons so far. I am playing on hard though so maybe on easy there is something like that but still I need a ranged weapon to play this game. Another thing that bothered me was the AI was at times pretty smart and at other times so stupid its not even funny. Seriously if I shoot someone in the head why does every other soldier just run up to the spot where I shot him and just look around. Do they think thats smart or something?

The graphics and sound are awesome but still the gameplay is weak. Way to weak for me. Also I hate the games weapon cycle. I want 3 guns in my cycle AT MAX I hate cycleing through 4 or 5 weapons to find the gun I want to use.

I played the game some more and right after I started playing I got a sniper scope so now that I have it I'm happy ... WAIT NO CAUSE YOU CANT STEADY IT! Seriously your a dude who can run unimaginably fast can throw objects hundreds of yards and are nearly impervious to bullets but you can't hold your breath to steady your gun... *facepalm*

I'll try that out next time I play. The game got a little better last time I played. The enemy's started useing different guns finally.

I got farcry 2 on xbox. Its far better than crysis.

Halo 2 and 3 with the SMG

I played through crysis ages ago and i really loved the gameplay and weapons, story line not so much but i did like the damn level where you got to take out the triple A.

I've started playing Crysis and I'm hooked.

Except for that goddamn zero-gravity alien level. I'm still going through it, and it's probably the most linear, frustrating part of the game so far.

It is pretty boring/annoying, but everything is so damn pretty. and Zero-G is awesome

What settings do you play Crysis at, out of curiosity? The alien part just looks kind of dark and muddy on whatever settings I have.

Crysis was fun, but thats about it. After the second level, i googled the dev codes and beat the game with dev commands. The game was fun to play, but like you said, it lacked gameplay. Nothing beats flying a mile high and using the nuke gun though
