    [Tutorial] Process Speed Painting

    So just to follow up the advice of my last post in my other thread, I decided to show a process of speed painting I did tonight, here are the pictures.

    First you block out the basic shapes:

    This will just be so you can plan and work easily and quickly.

    Now I usually start in the middle, which is almost always the section of ground that is viewed most, here it is a simple layer of snow:

    As now shown, I removed above rocks, painting is always about revising and thinking, as this was a speed painting, I could not do multiple rocks and get it done in one night:


    I built off that layer of ice now painted and added a rock layer underneath:


    Now that the ground is set, I move onto the trees.


    Once trees are done, I move even higher into the mountains.


    I then start adding atmosphere and distance.


    Final revisions, added water:
