Except STALKER ain't an RPG...at all. Eh, Maybe I'll scrounge together two more monitors just so I can take some STALKER screens.
Oh? I swear to god I saw videos where people were engaging in interactive conversation with characters and managing inventory. Guess I was wrong. :-/
I know, right? I wish it was closer to Assassin's Creed in that aspect. Going from AC:B to Mirror's Edge when taking those screenshots was a real challenge. In AC you can freerun wherever the hell you want, but in ME you have a very linear path. It would be awesome if ME had the freedom of AC.
You don't have to talk to people. You can, but only if you want some extra stuff to do. The side missions are there whether or not you talk to people; you just don't get a map marker. As for inventory, even FPS games have those, they are just usually accessed by the scroll wheel and nothing else.
I'd call it a survival game. Apart from the occasional NPC interaction, it doesn't have many RPG elements.
