Yoyorast Island continues to be one of the most played custom maps for Halo: Custom Edition. I often enjoy the time spent in a server running Yoyorast Island; however, I find that sometimes when I'm manning a Warthog's turret, my driver isn't exactly up to par to take on Yoyorast Island's tricky course. Thus comes the challenege...
The Yoyorast Island Race Challenge

Challenge: Complete the entire course of Yoyorast Island's race mode in the shortest amount of time possible.
Rules:1. Race must be completed without any interaction or interference by any other player (perferrably empty LAN server).
2. Every race flag must be activated to complete an entire circuit.
3. Entire run must be captured (with a program such as Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/)) with minimum 320x240 resolution.
4. Videos must be completely unedited, except for an optional title screen with your name. Any overlays or editing of the run will disqualify it.
5. Absolutely no modifications to the map. If it is suspected that you have modded the map in any way, your run will be disqualified.
6. In order to judge the times, runs must be uploaded to a publically accessible file host of your choice. I would recommend using FileFront (http://www.filefront.com/).Warning: Failure to abide by all rules above will automatically disqualify the run.
Instructions:1. Download the map Yoyorast Island (http://halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=1144) if you do not have it. (If you are new to Halo: Custom Edition, you must also download (http://halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=410) and install the game.)
2. Start Halo: Custom Edition and create a LAN server, map Yoyorast Island, gametype standard Race.
3. Start recording with your video capture program or device.
4. Go up to the garage and enter the Warthog. Begin your race by activating the first flag.
5. Complete your race and compress your video.
6. Upload your video to the Internet and post it in this thread (you can use whichever file hosting method you would like, so long as it is publically accessible. I would suggest FileFront (http://www.filefront.com/)).
Note: Time is started when the first race flag has been activated and stopped after a complete circuit, finishing by activating the first flag again. The time displayed in game starts from when the map is first loaded, and is not to be considered when judging times for entries.
The winner shall receive $25.00 via PayPal or gift certificate to a popular store of the winner's choice.
The contest ends September 17, 2006 at 9:00 PM EST, when the winner will be determined.
You may submit as many videos as you want.
