Posting here because it's not likely to go into any game let alone CE... just made it to a) show a friend a tank design I came up with for something and b) see exactly where I stand as far as modeling vehicles goes. Heavy WIP... all I've done so far is the basic hull shape and the beginnings of a turret. I'll post updates as they come along.

For a forum game said friend cooked up... basically my idea of what a modernised T-34 would be like.

T-34-II/125 Main Battle Tank (USSR)

Maximum speed: 63km/h road (32km/h average off-road)
Maximum gradient: 38 degrees (23 sides)
Powerplant: Mod.504 turbine, producing 1,400hp boosted to 1,680hp
Range: 288km
Traverse rate: 360 degrees/18 sec.
Traverse mechanism: Hydraulic
Vertical angle range: -8 - 42 degrees
Armament: Single Zis-S-95 125mm autoloading rifled cannon, firing APFSDS, HEAT, SA-X SAMs, or 125mm flechette rounds. Max effective range is 7km, muzzle velocity 3,400fps, average rate of fire is 4.5rpm. 12.7mm (.50-cal) co-ax DT-44 firing 850rpm out to 1.8km. Grenade launchers, modular TOW missile pods and additional DT-44 mounts available.
Weight (standard load): 73 tonnes
Armour: Composite (classified but rumoured to be impenetrable to anything under an 88mm Flak AP shell); 60mm front/50mm sides/40mm rear in angled plates, inlaid silk; 15mm, reactive plates attached at crew's liberty. Coated to prevent magnetic mines from sticking.
Crew: 3 (driver, gunner, commander)

Funny you should say that, actually. I've got one, but it's not done and I'm not sure if I'll keep it or not. :p

I can't help it. :( Once I get out of school I'll have loads of time to do this shit though... How long is the official "go study for your HSC" holiday?

You're kidding me, right? I smoothed the living fuck out of everything that needs it...

Pretty good, but so far it's not my style. I don't really have much fondness for tiny turrets. :/

it's ok explosive we all know you go for those big and buff turret types

: )

it's not bad so far i'd like to see it closer to being done though. seems a bit lacking atm.

Muzzlebrake and snorkel subject to change. Mesh is a mess, I know.
