When you have an elevator go up and down, you stay on it.

But left to right you fall off.

And yes I am talking devices here.

Now, is this new?

It's basically the elevator you take in the flood level. It's been done in a more exciting way in the past.

elevators aren't ment to go side to side: hint: elevate is the root word of elevator and elevate means to move upward.

bungie did this in the maw in halo 1, when you stand on the large metal objects that seal up the reactor core's you need to destroy, you move with them. This isn't anything new.

also in the lubrary, the big round blue elevator rotates as well while it's going up, and you rotate along with it.

Way back when I just entered halo modding I always thought that the BSP was moving instead of the elevator because when I would stand on vehicles I wouldn't move along. :eng101:

Don't think so. I've tried multiple times to ride along on a ghost and it would just slip out under me.

hes right there no "friction" to hold you on to the vehicle when its moving.

Jump on top of the pelican in 343GS. That has a bit of "friction", and is how people found Mendoza on top of the map.

... yay.... a friction debate with a rather large amount of friction already... :S...
