could i possibly get a pelican model. preferable a halo 2 model with the turret on the back. I'm not too fussed. its for the project thats mentioned in my sig.

thats right. without the almighty power of trigger volume's. and with the mighty power of biped's. i can quiet easily create a pelican pick up any vehicle you set it up to pick up. i had the script worked out ages ago but I'm going to have to have a go at it again... for some reason i think i had to attack 3 bipeds to an encounter unless that was in the early stages of the development of the system.

oh wait. never mind i remember now.
i had created a brand new biped speciffically for the use of this and guess what... the bipeds didn't have to sync :O it actually all worked it's self out in the end some how... it all worked around the flashlight of the vehicle :P don't ask me for the script right now or any tag's because i just don't have anything usefull right about now except the only usefull commands in my head and an exact set of instructions as to what i had to do including creating a few new tag's here and there

the only things i never managed to get done before my hard drive decided to crapp out on me was once a vehicle is attached to anotherr or when anything is attached to a vehicle. it is impossible for you to get back in the seat once you exit it. or when the biped's were in the seats with you.
the other thing was even if you are in the driver's seat and you wanted to pick up a passenger or 2 you would have to drop off a few before you could do anything anyway. anyhow that being the case i might even be able to make simple and effective multi team vehicles. and maby even vehicle jacking if i ever get to it.

so... ideas interesting enough to catch anyone's attention?... dam... i have to redownload halo ce and the hek... lol

and i think my idea has been used and implimented in a simple portal/teleporter system aswell... good times :)

I've got Tiamat's pelican in one of my maps. That one has a turret. However, be sure to ask Tiamat. If you get no answer from him, see if the community has a problem with you using it. I think it'll work out though.

Either try my solo dangercanyon or tiamat's... I think it was hugeass or something.

**sigh** Here we go again.

Before the flame fest starts, you should check out coldsnap, which has this feature I belive.

If you look at his sig it's talking about non volume trigger pickups. And as far as I know, coldsnap uses triggers.

I'm curious as to why non-volume would be better.

yeah anywhere any time. its kind of like a mobile trigger volume but more in the shape of a miss-shapen sphere... but i had it working about... 6 months ago but never got around to finishing the script with respect to fixing problems that attaching an object to a vehicle made it impossible to enter that vehicle's seat for some reason. so to fix that problem all i reallly had to do was edit the base script a little bit so when the driver was no longer in the peli it dropped what ever it was carrying. and other small things like that.

and yeah in both hugeass and cold snap tiamat uses trigger's.

once in finished the script for the second time ill have to make a video showing how it works and over a network/online aswell considering bipeds don't sync that well. but yeah. i used a method of triangulation. (3 bipeds in a triangle all facing towards a centre point between them all and i just used the command "object can see object" three times. and it works wonder's when you don't want to limit yourself to a stationary trigger volume. and as the first part of the script wasn't that large just 4 (if statements 1 after the other there was no noticeable lag.

yeah i think it was the cold snap pelican i was using now that i think about it.
