Okay, ive been getting this "Open Edges" error every time i model a base in Editable Poly or in Editable Mesh. I followed the tutorial by Offspring and i still get the open edge errors, as he doesn't, so i don't really know what to do. I have some pretty good bases and garages i have made, but they all have the open edge errors. I am just trying to figure out why i get these open edge errors in Editable Poly for anything, even though i followed the base tut using editable poly by Offspring. Please help.

check for unwelded verts, doubled edges, etc. you following a tutorial doesn't guarantee that your model will be free of errors.

A quick thing I do is go into border section mode, turn on edged faces (F4 I think) and click and drag over the whole model. That will make any open edges appear. Also, select all the verts and weld by something small like 0.5. It works for me, but I never model in a way which screws up anything to bad.

editable poly usually is good when editing but always convert to editable mesh and see if you have any open faces first and weld all vertices. also click remove isolated vertex.

Why exactly would you need to convert to editable mesh to look for open edges...

Kinda going off topic, but what is the different between poly and mesh? As in "Convert to editable mesh" / "Convert to editable poly"?
Polys work with polys, mesh works with triangles?
e. Oh and can you give me link to tutorial? :)

i find it, for some weird reason, that editable poly don't export correctly with my exporter. i get all these errors when in editable poly. but after i convert to editable mesh, it fixes the errors(that was "caused" by editable poly)
