A REALLY bad thunderstorm hit my town, so I decided to record it. I really wanted some great lightning shots but sadly my camera just isn't good enough.
I plan on posting a second one in just a bit.

I've been in worse [/new_england]
Flooded roads, overflowing rivers/streams, my driveways dirt mixed with rocks which later turned into a muddy wonderland. Power went out for a day and a half, wish I had a camera to record 'Silents time without electricity, but company: THUNDARR!!'
I hated that.

Thunderstorms over here make it go really dark because the clouds are full of rain =\

It was actually several times darker than that. For some reason my camera tends to brighten everything.

7:45 P.M. the clouds were nearing a light black-dark gray color.

Well, I've been through much worse than that before, but, I have to admit, that isn't a small storm.

I was thinking of taking your video and posting this thread before you did. Just to see what you would do.
My sister called though.... I got distracted....
Yar, but that is a crazy storm.

Yeah, I don't think we've had a thunderstorm since back in August or something. I'm sure that we'll get one soon, at least, I hope so.

I've been in worse [/new_england]I've got family out there. We see at least one good one every time we go back east in the summer :3

Two instances of thunder today, but I want more, dammit. So awesome to hear it crash and sweep across the valley :awesome:

I love thunderstorms - from where I live you can hear the thunder echo around the hills that surround the town I live in :3

I had my window open a few days ago and there was intracloud lightning above my house - made the loudest thunder I've ever heard. It also lasted like 20 seconds.

I dunno, I think the last one was back in march, and then the one before that was in april of the year before :|

I think I might have seen one lightning bolt today, just maybe.
Oh, we had plenty last summer though, I remember waking up in the middle of the night to extremely long and loud roaring thunder, it must have lasted at least half a minute. I love it when there's massive storms in the middle of the night, except when the lightning is so bright, that it stops me from falling back asleep.

Thunderstorms :D
They always give me that feeling that they're completely owning earth. Or something.
It's hard to explain ._.
