Well, title is kinda false. Its more of a disturbance of the peace order by the bobbies, not really work of the Scientoligists.
Even though the UK criminal system sucks balls, everyone gets off scott free, sadly that doesnt always apply to idiotic cases like these which the person didnt full mean it, when a fucking chav can kill some one and get away with 2 years in prison..sigh.
Luckily the police person who gave he order has no common sence and any IQ to realise the courts will do fuck all, they only did it to take the sign off the guy. As this clearly breaks freedom of speech.

I wouldn't worry about scientology. The current generation of youth are allready pretty well immune to their bullshit, so it's just a matter of waiting for the older generations of scientology figureheads to kick the bucket before we get some normality back.

The City of London police came under fire two years ago when it emerged that more than 20 officers, ranging from constable to chief superintendent, had accepted gifts worth thousands of pounds from the Church of Scientology.
Well there's your problem.

The government is satisfied that Scientology is socially harmful. It alienates members of families from each other and attributes squalid and disgraceful motives to all who oppose it; its authoritarian principles and practice are a potential menace to the personality and well being of those so deluded as to become followers; above all, its methods can be a serious danger to the health of those who submit to them... There is no power under existing law to prohibit the practice of Scientology; but the government has concluded that it is so objectionable that it would be right to take all steps within its power to curb its growth.
Scientology is both immoral and socially obnoxious...It is corrupt sinister and dangerous. It is corrupt because it is based on lies and deceit and has its real objective money and power for Mr. Hubbard... It is sinister because it indulges in infamous practices both to its adherents who do not toe the line unquestionably and to those who criticize it or oppose it. It is dangerous because it is out to capture people and to indoctrinate and brainwash them so they become the unquestioning captives and tools of the cult, withdrawn from ordinary thought, living, and relationships with others..

Just imagine a world without scientology:
The grass will be greener, the air will be cleaner, the buffalo will run free again, al gore will sleep calmly at night,
the smell of fresh new mornings will last all day long in the cities, everywhere you go random, happy looking strangers will greet you with a smile along with those courtageus little nothings that make life so cherishable and that strange new feeling of simple and humble happiness will wipe that cynic grin off your face leaving nothing but a honest and deeply satisfied smile so convincing, even those random greeting starngers are bound to notice the sheer sunshine shining out your ass.
Sure, Scientology is a gang of asshats but i think Darwin will agree with me when i say: aslong as there are idiots, there will be ppl who exploit them.
"Sad" but most likely close to "true."

Doesn't mean it should be allowed to happen.

Excatly.
But f lets say the people protesting McDonalds would be sucsessful and they shut down this corporation in its entirety. now what will happen? of course, people will then just move on to taco bell, burgerking and the like.
Hence we must fight the McDonalds in the minds of the people and not the actual restaurants. [/lolcow]
