Graphics card question

Would an Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS be able to run crysis or any newer games like UT3, orange box, etc. on the lowest settings?

I'm doing one of those online customization things for an HP laptop, and thats the best graphics card available for that specific model.

And yes i know a desktop is the better way to go, but I'm not looking to buy a desktop, so don't say it.

It'll run orange box on high, UT3 on medium/high, and crysis on low/medium.

not too sure about UT3 though

OK thanks. Now the hard part, convincing my parents to buy it for me for my birthday. its up to $1,075 the way i have it now. I want to start learning other engines besides Halo CE.

Calls for a 6800, and if you need some mod help, I've been doing quite a bit with crysis.
I got flowgraphs down good. Working on the custom model content ATM.
In this video i flowgraphed the hunter and the ai to fly helicopters and attack in patrolled areas.
