Red vs Blue : Reconstruction Episode 1

It's obvious that the "experts", which the big black man said was too complementary, are Blood Gulch Red and Blue team. I guess we'll be seeing them integrated more into the Freelancer storyline. I assume we'll also see a return from Tex, who'll probably get into a fight with Washington at some point. As for this infection, further involvement with the whole alien-deal? Post thoughts.

I believe that Walter is voiced by Burnie. It sounded a lot like him. Washington sounded a lot like Griff too. So I'm curious how they would have it if Washington met up with Griff at one point. Voices would be same, would seem weird. Also maybe a return of Shelia? That would be cool.
And while I think it would be nice if they met up with the old team, I don't think it would fit. The whole group was basically comedy, even though they had their serious moments.

Although, integrating that with drama could be interesting. I'd like to see how that would play out.

Remember how tex's AI was O'maley, basically the mini series was based on the Other AI, as the agency tried to recover all the other rogue AI's.
Yet the fella who was recovering them was betrayed by a chick he saved from the AI. and she took off with them all.

so yeah, she must of ended up in valhalla and the AI was jumping through the Radio stations and causing havoc.

Yeah, Church or Tex killed the last one (of the many that were copied) in the last episode. Unless there was one that got away. We could never really know for sure. Roosterteeth can twist that anyway they want.

By the way, is there a shortcut button for spoilers somewhere? I mean it's not too troublesome. Just wondering.

Tex picked up one of the dead Wyoming's helmet, and was going to use it to go back in time or something, as she hooked it up to the ship. Time travel is still a possibilty, but I think it'll be avoided as time travel gives continuity headaches.

I'm pretty sure Washington is voiced by Geoff (Grif), as during Recovery One, he had a few moments where his tone sounded just like it.

Also, I think we can say spoilers on the episode, seeing as it's a thread dedicated to it.

The technology behind the episode is getting amazing now, for a Halo 3 machinima. The lip-syncing, the imposing of many, many shots in one image, the added screens and such, and the recovery guy waving his arm. ZOMG.

Anyways, the guy on the screen is the same one from episode 4 of Recovery One, so he obviously plays a large part in the... freelancer department thing, probably. I'd also take a guess and say he's a virtual computer along the lines of Vic, as we see him through a screen, and he seems to manipulate a bit. I doubt that he would exclusively associate himself with the red team, as he referred to the Blood Gulch guys as just "the soldiers". Of course, now I'm just rambling on, but that's my guess.

Yeah I do love the visual effects that are used. And that 16 man cast. Wow. That's some dedication to job there. If I tried filming anything you'd know there would be idiots running around killing people. I did notice some transparency errors when they rotoscoped, but that's hardly noticeable.

As for the cast, in the end of the trailer it stated everyone who would be starring in the series. Burnie and Geoff were a some of them along with many other memorable names. So we know they're going to be in there somewhere.

Yeah, same with me. I've actually seen the entire series twice. While introducing my friend to it, I watched it with him. Ended up being a good 8 hours straight with one dinner break. Though they were at like episode 60 something at the time.

Mostly the sponsor extended videos include little extra references to the original RvB series. The free one is intended to be contained in it's own story, while the sponsor one can make all the little references it wants to the other five seasons.

For instance, Washington asks Sister why she wasn't reassigned along with the other troops, and she says "Me? They don't even know I'm here." which is a reference to her saying that she wanted to join the military, but was too young, so she boosted a shuttle and went on her own there.

...yeah, that could confuse a hell of a lot of people out there, so they leave it for us sponsors.

When Meta was holding out that litttle tv screen, that animation isnt in the game at all.

Real-time/time freeze could have been achieved by the same method. (most likely some video editing of epicness

I can say right now RvB do not use any 'extra tools' then what is available to normal consumers. Things such as the tv screen been held...etc is all done in an editing program such as premier or after effects.

But that would mean it could only been done in Forge, and the meta's in FFA colours. And I don't think you can spawn a missile pod on High Ground anyway, unless you can do it with a turret.

Reconstruction is a far more advanced form of Machinima then the blood gulch chronicles. where a much higher level of editing and effects is required to get the finished product looking... decent.
as a result it just takes more time to do.

i bet some of these guys will be pulling a 16 hour day today.
And i reckon at the end of this season they'll extend the length between episodes, or bring in another person to help them.

I know that for a fact because it was doing site maintenance for a few minutes and I just kept refreshing. Then it was back up and it was there.
Its been on the site since 4:43AM but it was unwatchable because of site maintenance.

The green lighting on Caboose's chest-plate during scenes with D. was nice....but it might have been plasma pistol cheating...
