Oblivion/Zelda Modding Group
Before I go into detail you must know I won't be working on this mod until I finish my content for CMT. I am also aware that this isn't a Oblivion forum which is why this is in the "Off Topic" section. OZMG is a mod for "Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion" which will add a new area to the game, a floating, Zelda based island. So far the team includes myself, Plasbian, Juicy Llama, Xaoz9, and Masterz (when he finishes CMT and then some).
Before people start assuming I'm a newb and ignore this thread I'd like to present something I've made for the mod in my spare time. Keep in mind my graphics card Isnt the best and the quality is near minimum. The Master sword has a diffuse, grayscale specular, and normal map.

We are looking for people who can do concept designs, animate, model characters, and/or texture. Present any skilled work you've done if you want a spot.

Well theres still things we need to decide on how they will look like. For example, we know that theres gonna be a new area, but we are unsure what its gonna look like right now.

It's for the landscape and dungeons. the items and armor will be the same but we need concept artists for the island. kinda important to have a place to put all the stuff:eyesroll:

If you can do other types of animations I'd be glad to have you on the team. There'll need to be animations for all the enemies:)

Huh, I always wished there would be some sort of floating island in Oblivion form which you could look down on Cyrodiil. I'd get this just for that even though I don't usually like adding non canon content in. :0

I could try to do biped animations. It would be a learning experience for me, I've never done them, and I would need to know what animation scenes would be necessary, how to export in a proper format for oblivion to use, a lot more details like that. I would be willing to try of course!

all of the players animations are already taken care of. the only "human like" enemies I can think of at the moment that'll need animations are Dark Link and stalfos. The majority of animations will be for enemies like the skeleton hounds in twilight princesses hyrule field, baku baba plants, river zoras, etc.

That there is the main page for oblivion's Nif model format. everything having to do with animations, models, collision and whatnot is stored in the same file. oblivion though, unlike morrowind uses attached .kf files for animations which makes it a lot easier to add animations. Collision btw is A LOT easier to make in oblivion. a lone triangle can be collidable. setting it up though can be a huge pain if you're using a collision mesh instead of a basic collision shape. I've gotten the Hylian shield to be collidable but at the price of it losing collision sounds.

After painstaking hours of debug and searching for the few oblivion collision tuts out there, I've finally gotten a hang of making collision^^. apparently collision for claymores needs to be setup differently for god only knows why. But I've gotten it all worked out ^^.

O and I'm almost done with the Fierce Deity armor. Just need to make the hands. The head though is a different story entirely. To get it to work and work with facial animations and expressions I need to use a new program called Facegen. I'm not going to try making the faces work till I've got them all made though. I will however UVW, rig, and TRY to get the armor to work ingame. Bethesda and me have issues with skin instances ><. I think that about wraps it all up so far.

It's called the Double Helix Blade by most people but when Majoras Mask first came out my friend found out the sword was actually called the "Dark Fairy Blade" or something close to it in one of his Nintendo Powers. I took his word for it cause imo "Double Helix Blade" sounds too unprofessional cause it's describing it. Besides, who here agrees Dark Fairy Blade is Badass? :D

I thought the dark fairy blade was that purple and green blade you get when you go to that fairy after catching all the little fairy's in the last dungeon. Maybe I don't remember correctly. Anyway, nice models, that stuff looks nice. :D

That was the Great Fairy's Sword. I love that thing too lol. btw, i'm including the mask from the last temple if any of you remember what it was. Give you a hint, it could only be used and had to be used in the last boss fight other than Majora. It'll work exactly how it did in the game but it can only be put on outside. It'll unequip when you go indoors. For those of you who know what it is, yes, I'll try and get it set so you hurt those you walk near^^.
Also, If any of you remember the Lizafos from Ocarina of time (you know, the little bastards that kept knocking you off the pillars in the dodongo caverns into lava and you had to climb all the way back up just to get knocked back down lol) . I'm having flyinrooster model it and the sword. I've fixed some of the details on the blade but it's his model. anyway, it's ingame with collision. this proves i've gotten the hang of collision^^ yay.

Well I've finished the Fierce Deity Armor. it's 6814 polies w/o the hair. For those of you who are worried about poly counts don't be. An average full suit of armor in oblivion is roughly 15000 polies. this armor is going to be a little more than half that. I've gotta make the head separately cause of how oblivion works though (think i already explained this) so I'm gonna rig this, unwrap it, and get it ingame first as armor then I'll try on the head.

stock. oblivions human biped anims cant be edited for the world. they're made to work with every weapon, armor piece, and action in the game. also, for those of you wondering about why the arm bracers look different than the model it's cause I used a manga refrence and combined it with the statue version. I didnt really like either tbh so I used part of both.

Bad news. Oblivion doesn't allow changing heads ingame(even with script extenders) :( . meaning I'll have to model the head without any facial animations. I'll be able to animate the eyes to blink at set intervals though which is just about all the players face does. he will make yelling noises when swinging his weapon and his mouth wont move though lol. Oh yea, I almost forgot, there's going to be a new celestial sign you can be born under, "The Hero". I'd like some opinions on what we should make the birthsign powers be. please nothing overpowered. here's a list of standard birth signs.

not sure if it's even possible to make a resistance to silence. besides, I've beaten most of the game and the main storyline at lv 35 and i'm pretty sure i've never been hit with silence. doesnt seem to be that useful tbh. thnx for being the only person to respond btw. >_>

Not sure which game you're playing, but wraiths use silence constantly as their main spell <_<
I don't know if it's possible either though.
Most of the birthsigns are useless anyway though, the only one that doesnt come with massive strings attached is the mage

lol. I totally forgot that I'm not really affected by silence for 2 reasons:
1: I dont use spells much at all.
2: I'm born under the sign of the Atronoch (Spell absorbtion 50%)
but yea, idk if I'd be able to without a script and even then idk if it'd work like i want it to.
