OK so at the moment my tablet PC isn't powerful enough to do all that I require. I'll be heading for a Post-Secondary institute next year for 3D Modeling for Animation and Games, I need a laptop (not a tablet) that's powerful enough to run Maya, 3DS Max, Adobe Master Collection CS3 (Yes, all of it), and some newer games (I've been playing LotRO a lot, as well as Crysis, COD4, and Supreme Commander).
Now, I've only really messed with the Alienware configurations, as well as some Dells and HPs... I realize Alienware is overpriced, but hey, they do work as advertised (usually).
Basically I'm looking for something with 4+ GBs of RAM, AT LEAST an Intel Core 2 2.4GHz processor (Quad or Duo, don't really need the quad though). It needs a dedicated graphics card, at least 512mb dedicated memory. Also at least 500 GBs of hard drive space. Windows Vista Ultimate or Windows Xp Pro (64 bit obviously).

ASUS G2S.
Or go with a Clevo (can't remember exact model) that packs an 8800MGTX and a quad core and dual 250GB hard drives into a 15.4" form factor.

I forgot to mention that I wouldn't MIND a 17" form factor. If I get a 15.4" I'll be hooking it up to my 24" LCD more then not. However, that Clevo 860TU 15.4" form factor is pretty damn sexy! Anyone know its approximate price?

If money's not a negative factor, then just look into getting an Alienware. You'll be paying a lot for the name, but it still has some of the best preforming notebooks out there right now.

What Zeph said, only instead of Alienware, XPS. Dell XPS M1530 has everything you're looking for, and it should only be about $2.5K.

The M1530 is missing at least two things I specified (at least 512mb dedicated video memory, and at least 500 GBs of hard drive space). The M1730 seems to have more, but for that price, I'll get a cooler looking Alienware.
EDIT: I guess 500 GBs is a bit much for a laptop still... If I need that for storage I'd be better off with a removable storage device. Here are the configurations I've played with so far:
