I just watched this film, and I'm still a bit scared/shocked, it honestly frightened me...i don't know why...its just 'chilling', so much for the bad reviews, i really liked it.

I don't know if there have been anymore topics about this, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen it, and what they thought?

I'm a little afraid of Trees now :confused2:

My friends saw it yesterday and told me it was pretty bad. although I'm not going to trust his word. It looks interesting but i don't have too high hopes for it.

I've been around making my little posts here and there, but I'm mapping for the Cryengine atm, although i haven't been doing alot of that, just sleeping and far to much gaming with friends (Rock Band & Halo 3)

Anywho, anyone else seen this, it might just be me who found it scary, but i understood the scientific lingo jingo side of the film so... who knows.

I want to see it. Didn't they give "Signs" a bad review too? I generally don't trust movie critics that get paid to do the job they do, I'd rather hear a review from a "causal" movie goer, if that makes any sense.

I loved Signs too, but this movie had one of those really frightening and believable plots, unlike stereotypical Science Fiction, and it was good, the only movie recently I've agreed with them on would be the 'Iron Man' rating of 98% because that film was really good, best Super Hero film I've seen...period!

I haven't seen it, but to be Honest, from what Ive seen, it somewhat reminds me of deathnote.

I saw it and I didn't like it very much. I just thought it lacked any sort of point, and it was such an unconclusive ending. I don't know, I just didn't find it very good.

I don't really like movies that don't really explain why things become okay at the end, like The Day After Tomorrow, somehow the entire planet just restabilizes in a couple days, coincidentally just as Jack reached Sam. I find it corny when they use something like "love" being the force that gives a movie a happy ending. Just like how they survived in this movie. I know it's just me, but I like movies with an explanation that is actually believable.

I agree about the ending, but i just found the whole film was very scientific and had alot of depth, which alot of people may have over looked.

Death Note is awesome, well the Anime anyway, I'm cosplaying Kira (Light) at an Anime/Manga convention in the City this Friday, may sound 'odd' but welcome to my friends LOL. Should be fun though, i even have a death note.

But the whole thing about them 'killing' themselves and jumping off buildings (not spoilers, can be seen in trailers) is very much like how you can write what your victim will do in the Death Note.

I completely agree that the ending (main ending, not they gay bit about the pregnancy) is like how Day After Tomorrow ended, i wish they all died personally. The best bit about the ending was the 'post ending' in India, or wherever it was and it starts again, now that was a good point.

But iIm still skeptical about 'it only happening in the east' thing, that was pretty lame, i wish it was a WORLDWIDE one and it never ended, and everyone died...kinda like the ending of Cloverfield...all the main people died...that was awesome, wow...I'm gruesome...but Happy endings SUCK!

K spoilers below.

I heard it was about trees killing people with magic pixie dust that they used when people seemed to be a threat. Then they decided to stop. end of movie. I don't like movies with inconclusive endings, though I'm sure my friend exaggerated a bit

I heard that it had TERRIBLY placed humor and made the movie not scary.
