Well, at least it's better looking than COD4.

Treyarch shouldn't work on the series >< I prefer Infinity Ward. They've always had more success and an overall better game. The engine itself for COD4 (obviously being used on COD5) was damn good. It's shared, but this is going to be epic fail :(

The first thing I think of when they say they're using the 'Modern Warfare' Engine is: Can I put a Red Dot Sight on my Mosin-Nagant? I wonder what they're going to do with the Multiplayer. What I've seen, they haven't said anything about that.

Look at the bright side. Treyarch working on CoD5 will let Infinity Ward have more time to make CoD6 an epic win.

what are they switching off every game to get the games out faster?

ROFL. I still think that's a downside in one way or another.

IMO, I don't really see a huge difference in the graphical part of the engine other than the slightly sharper graphics and brighter (and friendlier) environments.

As long as I get to play Axis and slash people with the Katana, I'm happy.

I waiting for the spoiler to be leaked that 25% through the game, a hole in the space-time fabric is made and space marines from 2488 pop out, being chased by evil stick figure aliens who are sporting Leonidas masks and have the uncontrollable urge to scream names of random sex positions.

Treyarch need to fuck off and let IW handle the series. And CoD6 better be a war that hasn't been fucking done yet, like Korea or the Falklands.

I second this.

Finally a ww2 with awesome graphics. This may actually be fun. but srsly,
IW > Treyarch. Treyarch does need to fuck off. COD4 was epic.

Call of Duty 7: Cold War (Treyarch)

Actually I'd love to see a Call of Duty game attempting the Bay of Pigs invasion ><

I thought it was going to be Vietnam-ish with the jungles and such. I was hoping there would be hippies and Bob Marley...:(

The future > past

Imho, I've had enough of games trying to replicate ww1/ww2 wars. It's just bleh to me :(

Only if the developers can come up with a good story.

Developers need to add some real IP to the stories they try to create if they base them off historical or even on going events. Everyone already knows what the fuck happened in WW2, kinda hard to create anything worth while for shooter games with that one :-|

What's this another brown and grey WWII fps? Pass.

The reason why COD4 was great is because it had its own storyline with its own characters. The nuke and the Pripyiat mission was an unexpected twist.

The graphics only look a little bit better.

But I don't know why, I just don't like COD4/5 graphics that much. It seems like it doesn't have a human touch to it. They just look slightly off, or weird to me, compared to other games.

Change the contrast ratios on your TV. There is color, it's just hidden. :eyesroll:

If they had to do a historical war, why couldn't it at least be Vietnam, or Desert Storm...

I think I'll join the passing crew.

Right, because people should have to mess with their TV settings to see colors other than brown! :awesome:

I like where this genre is going.

Call of duty 4 had it right. I would rather see an expansion of that story or game than this.......

I think treyarch's job is to give us something to play with while IW make a proper one and release it a year later.

I agree and for marketing reasons because most likely everyone will buy it because of COD4 did so well.

I'll be waiting for them to stop calling it call of duty, but rather start a series on modern warfare. If activision want to fuck up call of duty, let treyarch do it. Mediocre games are fine, aslong as we have something great a year later. :p
