Holy crap that was amazing. Even though I died every few feet, the storyline, weapons, animations, and graphics (With a bit of TV adjustment for color) dropped my jaw to the floor. Now I see why some reviewers thought Halo 3 was average. The storyline to COD4 was amazing, and full of suspense; the ending, even though it took me 3 takes, was just perfect and I loved the personal touch. I only noticed one instance of a dead body acting abnormally, and I had to stare at it for a while to be sure I saw it.

I have come to a realization: I'm sick of halo. I have memorized the entire storyline, the books, the weapon balances for each game, and I'm tired of playing online against the same silent crowd in multiplayer. MLG gametypes are a bit better, but I'm tired of the BR-fest.

Oblivion is fun until you've played it too much, or gotten stuck in a major quest due to a frustrating bug.

Dead Rising is, frankly, repetitive.

Well, that was a bit of a ramble. I guess what I was trying to ask was, what games should I buy now?

(For the TLDRs: See last sentence.)

One of the best games I ever played too! Might be partly because it's set with convincing futuristic style :)

COD 4 online is fun but gets repetitive after a while. I used to play it for around 3 hours everyday and I don't think I've played it for a week or more now. I played online so much that it doesn't even ask me to insert the DVD into the drive :D. So now I can rest easy playing online. I don't think the campaign has much replay value after you beat it the first time. It's just too Epic to go back and play again.

If you want an RPG, I'm going through Mass Effect now and it's actually better than I suspected it to be combat wise. Just had to get use to the controls and cover system.

But if you want to keep with the tact shooters, I recommend Rainbow Six. Vegas1 had the better storyline(with epic trumpet music :D), and Vegas2 had the better in everything else, especially multiplayer.

Which is entirely why I thing H3 is better. I can play it for much much longer.

I've played Halo PC online for ever and I've never ever ever gotten tired of it. It's quite the marvel.

I have a friend who plays COD4 online A LOT. He's in a bunch of clans and hes REALLY good. He was going to go MLG pro but his dad wouldn't let him since hes only 14.

Is there even a game that nobody gets tired of? I mean, besides the old games like Doom, Half-life, Starcraft, Diablo, etc... Something 2001-2008ish.

Excellent story.

Wait, was that in response to my post or were you saying that the game had an excellent story?

I dislike both games, to be honest; Halo was fun because of the hype and the launch-night co-op campaign, but it got really tiring. Call of Duty was fun while you still had stuff to unlock, but when you max out there's really no reason to keep playing. This really applies to any of the new games, for me. Gears was fun for co-op, then it lost its luster when Rainbow Six: Vegas came out. Rainbow Six got boring after you got most of the weapons, GTA's singleplayer was fun until you beat it, then it also got boring. Mass Effect was fun until you beat all the quests. Most games start off the same and, once you beat it, get boring, then you move on to the next new game.

Isn't that what games are about? That's what it is for me just...i kinda don't finish a lot of games I start.

Funny I was just thinking of getting cod 4 or quake wars cause I don't know how many more CRITICAL HIT!!!'s I can take.

I like cod 4's single player but quake wars multi player is miles better. Main reason I like the multi player better is because in cod 4 I get killed and am like "WTF", only to realize that the guy who shot me was in some hilariously obvious location. This just ends up in me getting pissed off. I've never had this happen in quake wars, and I think the multi player in general is a lot better.

The story of COD4 was pretty average. I mean, it did what it needed to do, it served its purpose just fine, but it was far from amazing. "Kill the brown people (and those damn commies)" plots got old pretty quick.

Doubtful.

Yea, CoD4 is awesome, I didn't really care for its multiplayer though, seemed to be lacking something for me...

Yeah...TF2 givin you hell? I'd say get Enemy Territory instead. I downloaded the online beta and thoroughly loved it. I like games with a Battlefield 2142 vibe. Battlefield 2 was shit to me, though

I've had Super Smash Bros. Melee Since 2003, and I haven't gotten bored of it since Beating/unlocking everything. It's a great game to kill time in, especially since the Gamecube boots up quickly, and the game is easy to get into.

Games/Consoles should be moar liek this imo.

Same goes for Brawl, though. If you really want to kill some time just jump in a match or try to collect everything.

i illegally downloaded for free Turos and Blacksite: Area 51.

Turok was fucking dumb, and i couldnt really be bothered playing it, even with godmode and infinite ammo. i managed to play it trough trough, just so see how it ended which was kinda dumb as well. shitty game, glad i didnt spend anything on it

Blacksite started off REALLY good, the first few levels are in iraq, and i thought, damn this shit is better than COD4, which it REALLY is actually. but then the following levels you start getting a weird bug which causes your fps to drop to like 6 or something, and then a few minutes later it skips back to a smooth 60, only to go back down to 6 for no reason whatsoever. this is really a showstopper, it absolutely is. it's a goddamn shame, because even though it's a bit short, the leveldesign is really good, linear, but from an artists view, it's REALLY triple A quality work. it's a goddamn good game too, i'd definately pick it up if it didn't have the shitty framerate, plus, online co-op ftw.
blacksite was rushed from alpha to final in a few days, which is really what killed it, it's still a goddamn good game if you ignore the fps crapping out for no reason.

I played Blacksite Area 51 for a while. I only beat cause I didn't want to quit. Out of all honest I hate that game.
