So I downloaded FF3 and everything is fine and dandy, but today I tried to open an mp3 link and it immediately asked if I wanted to open or save the file. But before FF3 I could always play mp3s using quicktime in-browser. I've always had Winamp as the default app for mp3s, and it worked out fine...so I don't think it has anything to do with that....?

Anyone have any idea? I'd prefer to be able to preview something in Firefox instead of having to download it every time.

Firefox: Tools > Options > Applications tab

haha wow thanks I didn't notice that's what it was for.

So I went to Winamp audio file (audio/x-mpeg) and switched it from Always ask to Quicktime. Insta-download. How about Firefox? Insta-download.

:(

edit: Same things happens for .mov files.
