Hey, I just downloaded the latest Video Driver for my integrated card (Don't judge me about the card, we all started with integrated, unless u bought a laptop with a good card.)

So, once I installed it, I restarted my laptop. There was one problem, after the reboot, I wanted to play Halo or whatever. As soon as Halo loaded the my screen turned black for a few seconds..I play Halo windowed anyway.

When my screen turned black it went back to normal and a message came up saying that my driver stopped responding and successfully recovered. I can't play halo because halo froze.

Any help?....Yeah, its a long story. lol

Go back to your older video driver, or try to install the newer one again. Make sure you uninstall before installing again.

I tried uninstalling my old driver and installing the new one....it keeps failing to respond when I finish loaded Halo. I can't even play the Quake 2 Demo. I see like White vertices and different color vertices. When I roll back the driver the old one works the newest one doesn't.

My old Driver 8.5 ATI Integrated Works good!

New driver 8.6 ATI Integrated PHAIL!

Then use your 8.5 driver, and wait until ati releases newer driver that do work.

This should be the obvious thing to do.

Ok, the new Driver has been released the 8.7. It works perfectly now and I have no problems. :) Happy Face :)
