The Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Well, it's true. Pandemic has taken up making a Star Wars Battlefront-type Lord of the Rings game. I don't care what it is...I'll buy it right off the bat but I still have concerns about it. I hope the graphics don't lack detail like in the Battlefront series and I hope the mechanics of the game are cleared up a bit.
I believe Battlefront 2 came out in November 2005 and technology has come a long way since then. I hope they actually make this game feel more than just jump in, get killed, respawn.

OK...that still didn't work. What does that little A (switch editor) in the top right corner actually do? When I click edit the links aren't there but when I click the little A they show up again. Then I click post and then no pics appear.

Interesting concept, I'd like to see some gameplay before I decide whether or not to get it.

While that game was great for it's time I dearly hope it's nothing of the sort. The gameplay was grossly tedious and overbearing at times. It's worth mentioning the the AI were dumb as shit, as well.

I think the Battlefront games were done great just they need to improve it. Well I doubt we'll get another Battlefront game from Pandemic. The Conquest series (assuming there will be a sequel) will be a very complex thing to create. Since it's a Battlefront type game, the mechanics of the game will be much different than Battlefront. What I think they mean by referring to this as the Battlefront type game is that it gives you the freedom that the Battlefront games did, just this time instead of excluding playable heroes, everything that should be in the game will be available. Basically, Battlefront 2 was what Battlefront 1 should have been, although, the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith references wouldn't have been created yet.
