Okay, so I'll admit it. I'm a complete douche fag nub at 3DS Max.

I wanted to know if there's any tutorials out there that teach, step by step, how to effectively animate FP for Halo. I know how to extract models and animations and shit with bluestreak, but when it comes to making shit, I blow ass.

The bones. Don't. Stay. Together. GODDAM.

Help me out guyz ;[

Seen that guy before.

Tried following his instructions. The only problem is the bone setup he has is like, uber different from the one in Halo.

His bones stick together and shit. If I try to move a finger, nothing else moves and the model stretches in a really gay, gay way.

Sorry to be a nub but god damn I need to figure it out somehow right?

Its probably your rig. hit me up on xfire, I have a good rig you can use

It's definitely my rig... anyway I'll hit you up at some point. I got a rig from FlamingRain a few hours ago that seems really well made, but haven't done anything with it yet so yeh

http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2059 I use that rig but I deleted the key frames and the weapon.
I then use http://www.halotrialmods.org/zteam/downloads/FP_IK_Controller_Setup.ms which is by CAD, to create the IK controllers which makes animating much easier.

I sent him my rig and a newer controller setup by CAD.

E: the only diff it has is you can uncheck a IK setup for an arm, like make only for left or right. This works well for grenade tosses.
