On one particular day, a user at bungie was learning on how to modify the screenshots on his fileshare, and reupload them. He then thought about how Headlong was a awesome map, and as a inspiration, he made a image. It asked: Bungie, please bring back Headlong! It had the original Headlong map image, used as the UI picture. Anyway, he uploaded it, and it spreaded like wild fire. I am not sure on how much downloads it got, but it sure got Bungie's attention. After Bungie Day of this year, The so called "SuperIntendent of Bungie" began posting in a code not everyone was able to crack. KEEP IT CLEAN, KEE0 IT CLEAN, and others. However, if you looked around Headlong, there were posters about recycling, and a lot of what the superintendent said was almost the same on the posters. What I am guessing is, after Bungie released Cold Storage, they began their new project. THE REMAKE OF HEADLONG. It's quite obvious on how the SI was leaving messages, describing serveral features of the famous Headlong. No one knows of its new name, or what it will look like. But to follow the SI's clues, Im speculating that Bungie is going to remake it as a recycling plant, or a office theme. That is all.

On the podcast they had remakes of Marathon music and Marathon is a great game that they came further develope and has gameplay that doesnt jump too distant from Halo.

I seriously hope that they don't create some crappy story about "Halo = Marathon", then merge the two. I mean, sure, they are both great games, though they shouldn't be put together into one. I also hope that they don't decide to go and add another chapter to Marathon, and keep the ending to Halo 3 the way it is. I'd enjoy having something new, or a different perspective to the Human-Covenant War in Halo.

I was hoping its a new game...

and btw at about 10:50pm pst (1:50 am for me) ish on g4 they had a live hands on thing about halo wars, they showed it being played a little, gave some minor information. Then the hosts poked fun at the current "halo rumors" a-float and said to wait for the timer to finish counting down because thats when anyone will know anything at all about whats going on for sure.

The rumor I read about was talking about a marine squad based game, based in the haloverse. Thats all I want to see...

The website features the text "Out of the Ashes.. Soon!" along with the text seen above and a countdown that ends on July 17, the last day of E3. Note that all the Ts on the website have been replaced with 7s. Seem Familiar? A quick WHOIS.net of the website information reveals that the website is registered to FOX FM in Burlington, North Carolina (which is on the opposite coast of Bungie's headquarters in Washington). FOX FM appears to be a defunct internet radio station. Pretty interesting unless the folks at Bungie (or their people) were crafty enough to register with a fake name and create an internet trail of very convincing evidence.

E: As the whole game looks to have a styalised feel, I don't really mind the SUPERGREEN/SUPERPURPLE colours. It just helps set the teams apart visually (more than just shapes, same as in TF2).
