Damn, I was hoping it would a single player RPG, I don't got the money for MMORPGs.

As long as it's not like Star Wars: Galaxies it should be FINE.

Damn, why does it have to be an MMO? Why can't it be one of those games where you can have either Single Player, or MMO.

Look at Age of Conan, the game makes you play the MMO part eventually. Bioware should stick to what they do best: Crafting a good universe with believable storyline and characters. Combat was meh in Mass effect, but I really liked the story.

Well, as long as it's free for the online play, then it's probably worth it, to an extent. Still, I wanted to finish the KOTOR story-line in the same style of game as the first two...

What do you mean... the first game had plenty of closure.

The second game didn't really have an ending, but its story didn't have much to do with the first game either.

So what are you wanting to finish?

I'd play it if they said they were going to drop KOTOR's pseudo-turnbased combat system.

Um.
Did you understand the first game?

The story-line of the second game? Your character goes off to find Revin, no?

that would be difficult in an MMO.

I'd be more inclined to expect it will be set during one of the games (probably the first) and you can be a pilot or a jedi or a soldier or whatever on the sith or republic side.

Apparently not, but your needlessly cryptic statement sure helps enlighten me :)

Sorry my love.
Basically
Revan did the whole evil bit, etc. to gain control of everything so he had something to fight the true Sith. Thats why he didn't destroy certain planets during his initial conquest. Then he went off into deep space looking for them blah blah blah, second game. Exile goes off to find Revan blah blah.

It's been too long since I played and I clearly wasn't paying enough attention to the plot, but I guess that makes sense. :p

(but why would I care about the overarching plot when you can murder about half the NPCs in awesome ways in both games :()

Because the plot is boss nigger.

Because the plot > Prequel Trilogy plot.

I'd play it if it didn't have monthly fees.

setdexterity 50
setconstitution 50
setintelligence 50
setwisdom 50
setcharisma 50
adddarkside 9999

And play through the game again...

or you could just use the savegame editor (http://files.filefront.com/KOTOR+KOTOR2+savegame+editor+English+332/;3860639;/fileinfo.html) but yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

I never actually played all the way through KOTOR. :/

The combat was just so dull I lost interest (probably had to do with me watching my brother beat it too :p).

The Combat isn't dull when you do Force Storm in a room full of 100 Hssiss :)

Also Force Wave was hilariously overpowered :D

And force kill... only took 4 uses of that to kill Malak at the end :v:

I beat KotOR I & II, even though I never reached a firm grasp of gameplay. I remember many people remarking that the end segments of KotOR I were easy, but I couldn't get past them without the save->reload trick to get a free strike, and running away and hiding from enemies until I could heal my party again. :embarrassed: At least the plot was interesting enough to keep me playing until completion.

I thought the end of the first one was decently difficult.
But thats probably only because my first time through I had no idea what to do in the room full of respawning machines and was stuck there for an hour :]
